This is becoming a HUGE problem in my area. It seems that they will not be happy until the entire city is covered in this crap. It also seems nothing can be done to stop it. I believe flat out that it is vandalism and not art.
What do you think?

tagging is most definitely vandalism
ive seen some fantastic street art and graffiti but tags piss me off
writing your name on things is a claim of ownership ....its marking territory and it along with the thought process that births it and the culture that births the thought process are deserving of absolute contempt

there is no message or thought other than "this is mine" .... that is not art

Ya Im totally with you on this one. I see it all over my neighborhood. Most of it on peoples private property. And most of it is gang related. It cost innocent people more money, condones violence, and should not be allowed. If you wanna send a message then rent a billboard .

Art happens on a canvas...vandalism happens on other people's property.
If I ever catch who keeps doing it to my building....he is getting an Irish toothbrush.

No it's not art, it's a bloody eyesore.
Banksy on the other hand is quite welcome to sneak something on my house in the dead of night.
