APOD today have an interesting thing to watch at.
It's a pedagogic and funny cartoon that explain in a very understandable way the Higgs Boson.



What is interesting now is that the scientist always try to classify things according to their behavior and characteristics, like the periodic table of elements....

What's next?

Seems like it's an endless quest, the more the technology progress, the more elementary particles will be discovered. I remember when I was a student back in the 80's, I learned that the atom was the 'ultimate' particle and couldn't in any case be divisible...

Personally, I am eager to see what this Higgs thing does. Supposedly, it's the last piece of the science puzzle...although really, I think it's only going to open the next door for us...and after that, we'll see.

But in the interest of organization, can we keep this to one thread please?
