Thanks for the link to Timcast... I had watched him during the fall in the OWS protests... Hes a good guy, but had lost the link to his channel

Rock on America

No probs, and yeah he's a great guy. He's spent a lot of time with them, often right up until the early hours of the morning when he's been out there. (which I think is pretty much every day.) He also said he's off to Chicago for the NATO thing going on soon, hope he stays clear of trouble though because that's very likely to turn nasty.

Unfortunately the strategy of having "the 99%" skip work for the day is not very bright as these are the very people who can least afford to do it.

and the 1% know and rely upon this.... ohhhhhh I have some time.......so lets say (based off single individual who works just TO LIVE + the costs Mandated BY LAW)

Average US Median Houshold Income Source - Census
$40,000 a year (I work full time at decent wage and sure as hell don't make this)

Estimated Federal Tax on $40,000
-$4,150 a year

Estimated State/Local Tax on $40,000
-$1,450 a year

Estimated Social Security on $40,000 Source
-$1,680 a year

Estimated SDI Tax on $40,000 Source
-$450 a year

Average US Cost of Rent Source - Wiki Answers
$800 a month x 12 =
-$9600 a year (inland)

($1200 a month x 12 = $14,400 a year (costal))

Average Utility & Misc Housing Costs Source
$200 a month x 12 =
-$2400 a year

Average US Cost of Gas/Transportation url=http://money.cnn.com/2011/05/05/news/economy/gas_prices_income_spending/index.htm]Source - CNN[/url]
$350 a month x 12 =
-$4,200 a year

Average US Cost of Car InsuranceSource
$150 a month x 12 =
-$1,800 a year

Average US Cost for food Source - USDA
$250 a month x 12 =
-$3,000 a year

Average US Cost for Medical Insurance Source
$200 a month x 12 =
-$2,400 a year

Average US Cost for Medical Expenses Source -$2,400 (ins.)
-$3,600 a year

$40,000
-$4,150
-$1,450
-$1,680
-$450
-$9,600
-$2,400
-$4,200
-$1,800
-$3,000
-$2,400
-$3,600
________
$5,270.00 per year
$450 per month

and we still have to brush our teeth and wipe our @$$....

(also didn't include car maintenance costs, cleaning products costs, and anything else you can think of that is mandatory)

Straight up SLAVERY (especially when you think about $40,000 being the 1%'s monthly pocket money)

Edit:
YaY! WoRK To LiVe!

52 weeks in a year x 2 days off = 104 days off (weekends)
365 days a year - 104 days off - 5 national holidays - 5 paid days off = 251 work days
251 work days x 8 hours = 2008 hours

$40,000 / 2008 hours = HOURLY RATE "THEY" SAY YOU MAKE $19.92 an hour
$5,270.00 / 2008 hours = ACTUAL HOURLY RATE $2.63 an hour (to live and pay government fees)

edit on 1-5-2012 by FORMe2p00p0n because: I forgot to wipe "it" off
