The only way would be to mod your 360.
Which you would risk bricking it during the process.
Not worth it in my opinion.

But if you are good with a soldering iron, have at it.
There are hundreds of tutorials online.

If you want a cheap way to get online get a google andriod media centre:

www.sum-vision.co.uk...

It has a wirelses mouse/keyboard combo and gives you a web browser and access to the andriod market place and more

There cheap as chips and can do tons of cool stuff:

Shopping

Perhaps I'm just crazy...but I would assume that's for laundromat customers, and not intended as you/your neighbors' free residential internet access?

Think about all those people washing their clothes being stuck with slow bored-surfing speeds because you're hogging all the bandwidth. That's just...mean, man. You have any idea how BORING washing clothes in public is already?

That said...you'll be able to access plenty of video and other apps with Xbox live, but that's about it short of already-mentioned modding.

My suggestion:

Save up, bit by bit, and buy computer components. Cheap! Build your own. Like $150 maybe after all is said and done.

Make the argument, the Xbox IS a computer, a really crappy one (I have one.) What's the diff?

All of these console game boxes are just computers geared for gaming and a proprietary operating system.
Replace the os and add a usb slot/s if needed.
Instant computer!!!

You will have to Jtag the 360 and then use a homebrew browser. It's not super easy to do but is perfectly legal (as long as you don't decide to start using copied games, the jtag itself is legal). You will also run the risk of bricking it.

I've done a few. Here's a tutorial, there are many online and plenty on YouTube.

www.thetechgame.com...=886/xbox360-jtag-everything-you-need-to-know.html

Problem is you need a PC to do it. Perhaps you could take it to a tech-savvy friends house and do it together?

ETA... A Jtagged console if detected may be banned from Xbox live, it's best not to connect to XBL at all once it's done.

sony is "computer" entertainment. When you buy a ps3, you also buy a computer.

If he bought himself a PS3, with a bit of hacking, he could install himself Yellow Dog or Fedora linux on it. Add a USB keyboard and mouse and you have yourself a makeshift computer. A slow makeshift computer, but a computer all the same.

OP... You can pick up and old model 1 'fat' PS3 for around £60 on Ebay.
