[B]No longer told what to do, enlists to be told what to do. Did someone tell you to join, because I bet you have a probem thinking for yourself.

I support the men and women of all branches of military. They just do what they are told. [JUMP] It is not their fault concerning these wars.
[B]Please guide me through your logic. I noted where it jumped. ignorance is not innocence. In fact, being in the position to not do what they are told and stop the corruption makes in necessary for them by description of their duty to not follow orders and stop the torture, drug smuggling and war crimes. By purposefully not questioning what someone asks of you then doing it makes you guilty of whatever horrible deeds you have done.

Here is my advice. Keep your eyes on God. Do not let them corrupt you.
[B]If there is a god, ask yourself, would he want you to kill anyone, or work for people who do. God does not commend the actions of any military.

Do not let the military use you. You need to use them. Use them to pay for your college while you are in active duty service. Use all the benefits that are available to you. You will earn them; trust me. Make sure that you pick a job that you can use when you get out. They pay 100% while you are in. Pay into the GI Bill. It will help you when you get out.
[B]You're giving him advice on how to be unethical and immoral, and you're making it sound like advice on how to succeed in life, but this is a corrupt treasonous and murderous orginization. You are telling them to get as much from the tax payers as possible while doing as little as possible for a company that profits in murder and drugs

The Air Force will put you into a hotel. They actually put my whole squadron in a casino at Las Vegas.
...
My re-enlistment bonus was $60,000 after 4 years of service. I am just giving you sound advice here. Well, good luck and God Speed.

[B]Luxury from the tax payers because you were protecting them...in las vegas. Was it aliens? And do we need a standing military so badly to give one preson $60000 on top of regular pay and benefits? The defense budget has been the majoriy of the bugdet since 911 and has caused us this multi trillion dollar crisis, which has done worse for freedoms and infrastructure than a terrorist attack ever could.

Old vet here. Congratulations. Now, unless you intend to stay in until retirement, here are your three options.
1. You could get killed. Generally considered 'not good'
2. You could get crippled. Ask yourself if you really believe the 'handicapped veteran' sign on your car will get you five cents a gallon off the price of the oil/gasoline your sacrifice will help secure for our oil elites. Crippled...generally viewed as 'not good'
3. You will serve your country honorably, make it through your combat tours safely and be discharged at which point your country, which you served so honorably, will have Homeland Security put you on a list as a potential domestic terrorist because of your military training. I don't know. Would you consider that a 'good thing'?
Dead, crippled or labeled a potential domestic terrorist. Which one are you looking forward to?
I see it as a lose-lose-lose situation. But that's just me.
I'm also curious.
HYPOTHETICALLY....
If in six months you find yourself risking your life, facing potential death, guarding a poppy field in Afghanistan. Do you think you will still be able to maintain the same patriotic fervor you had when you first signed up?
But this does not mean I do not support our troops. I wish them the best but that means I want them safe not just from some foreign enemy but from the corporate trash that would exploit their naivety to get them to sacrifice their lives for the sake of higher quarterly dividends.
And I do thank you for being able to sleep at night without fearing that I will be awakened by hordes of Muslims riding camels through my town and killing innocent Americans. Thank you for keeping me safe.

I don't support the troops.

If more people expressed outrage at the troops themselves, there wouldn't be any wars. If we didn't keep telling them we support them, they wouldn't do what they do, kill people.
If no troops enlisted, there wouldn't be any wars.
It's the troops who actually do the killing.

They've killed half a million people in Iraq and Afghanistan. People who never once attacked our country.
They are cold blooded murderers.

Quit falling for the "support our troops" propaganda. That's all it is, a mindless phrase they've pushed onto everyone.
Supporting the troops mean you also support their actions. And they kill people. You all support murderers. And really, serial killers don't murder as many people as the military does.

And using that picture to draw emotional responses to lead people to think the troops are good people is just great...too bad I bet I can find a picture of a Nazi soldier with his wife. Is it a cute picture then? I bet I can find a picture of a serial murderer with his pregnant wife too. Does that still make the person in the picture a good person?

The military is only a noble and honorable institution for a profoundly sick society.

Now please tell me how supporting war mongering and/or greedy soldiers isn't like that german quote.

Yeah You saw 2 or 3 duds here, they join too.You make of it what you want with very little reward.I was just wired that way and my father was a LT.COL command pilot in the Air Force,My brother is a detective and I was a scout in the Cav. Good men are getting spent buy a corrupt system and some think if they attack their troops they are making it right because of their limited perception or they are bitter because they have gotten into something they can't handle.
Honor is pretty much all you get,for me it's enough.Others as you've read think they've done all that and now they are owed what they deserve.Few get what they deserve.Nobody gets rich. You will change in fundamental ways.
You WILL push beyond what you could ever believe what you can currently do.Medals shouldn't be what you would ever want.Fight well keep your team alive that's what you do now.You do it by shooting at an expert level you do that while staying professional. When you are in you will see whining and shamming and other losers who for some reason joined to get a job but got sent out to fight and kill and can't handle it.
You will have to cover them because they could get your team killed if you don't.We utilize wall to wall counseling to help them out.

And if they haven't served by your side they don't know s##t about it or you.And you will be a stronger person a far more capable person.Just never lose the man you are to the dark feelings. You are soon to be family.I'm proud of you.Hooah

Well...you have to expect those type of responses on a Conspiracy Board. I am from a Military Family. I saw first hand how the youth of the 1960's mistreated young Men coming home from War. It sickens me to think about it.

I am not Military but I work with the Best of them on occasion. I am "CIVILIAN" and I am relied on to solve problems in the field. I am much older than the 20 somethings who I work with and I have to stay in top shape just to keep up. This is getting harder and harder but when I am ASKED...as I salute no one...I go because the couple times I did not...I worried the whole time and was miserable.

They look to me to keep them alive and some of the IDIOTS that I have met that two of have been my replacement on the two times I did not go...are reckless and to ready to start a fight. If I do my job right...there is no fight and we all go home.

I have been asked...are you going? With a look on a young mans face that you would never forget. At some point soon my body will not be able to handle it. I hope to train someone to be able to keep their ego in check...but their weapon loaded and ready. Split Infinity

So I ask, ATS members, where are the supporters. Let your voice be heard.

Just wanted to say that those of us who don't support the wars do indeed support the military. I know I do. I support every single soldier willing or forced to put their lives at risk. I just refuse to support the bogus reasons behind putting them in harms way.

I know the rah rah flag waving ideal is that we support them and want them to "win". I can still support them by wanting them to come home safe.

So you may see a large majority of people who "don't support" the troops. I see about half of that group supporting the troops, just not the reasons they are deployed.

I have friends in the Canadian military. My wife works for the department of defense on the base here that trains various troops from around the world. I support all of them, and want them to return to their families safely. I don't have to support the reasons they are risking their lives.

Supporting the troops mean you also support their actions.

No. No it doesn't at all. you are the type of person the OP was talking about. The troops are doing their jobs. they are doing what they are told. When they enlist, they trust those above them to be making the correct decision because it is not their job to question, it is their job to act.

If you don't support what is happening, you need to direct that anger not at the confused kids, because that's who is over in the middle east fighting right now, confused kids, but instead, direct that anger at those putting them in harms way for BS reasons.

You can't let the few sick and twisted elements within the service, those who produce the videos you see, paint the entire military, it simply isn't the case. But the prolonged service over there, for BS reasons, is causing people to break.

I challenge any of us, myself included, to try to deal with what these people deal with on a daily basis without snapping.

Think about it. Your morning drive to work is life or death, is the road gonna explode? Is that rock an IED? Did the kid I gave a chocolate bar yesterday set that bomb? People you help on monday are shooting at you from behind on tuesday.

Add to that the mentality being instilled in these people, racist, evil mentality. Killing for sport isn't isolated, this is corrupted people in positions of power corrupting those below them. The horrors we are becoming aware of are a natural extension of what is taking place there.

This doesn't make it right, and doesn't absolve those soldiers doing these things of the guilt. But you can't misdirect your anger.

Hate the troops? That's fine, there will be another wave of confused kids with no prospects that enlist (do not think I'm saying that's the only people who enlist, but right now, that's the bulk of it.) and the same corrupted leaders will abuse the power once again.

And because you directed your anger at the troops, not the controllers, the cycle will continue.

You can easily support the troops without supporting the war. I can't be the only one that thinks this way.

I am very pro military. However I do get a bit concerned when I see pictures of the National Guard drilling on the streets of American Cities. Will they turn on us when they don't even know why they are patrolling the neighborhoods?

During my first tour to Iraq we managed to rig a satellite dish up so we could get some more channels on our tv at the fire station at a forward operating base, Tallil. We picked up CNN Europe and were watching it one day as they were broadcasting LIVE a battle for a town called Nasiriyah. They were showing footage with helicopters flying overhead, explosions, a city with multiple fires and smoke coming up, and journalists and troops battling and the like. We walked outside to a hill about 40 yards away and looked out over the river where we could see the whole town of Nasiriyah... and there wasn't anything going on. No explosions, no battle, no helicopters, no gunfire... nothing. That is when I learned for absolute sure that the powers that be are running the media, and they are lying to us. This was in 2003, almost 10 years ago.

That's an amazing post.
I can just imagine you guys looking down at the town, the feeling.
Incredible, thank's for posting

any operations pertaining to Iraq or any other military operation in or outside of Iraq that is ongoing under perjury of the law according to the UCMJ. Have fun with this thread, P.S. put on some big boots to wade thru the shiite
