Recommend a scary movie...

Asian filmmakers are awesome when it comes to creating the right atmosphere in their movies. That's why their horror movies work so perfect - unlike modern american horror movies which are most of the time completely void of a scary or creepy atmosphere.

Some more asian Horror movies i know and liked:
Uzumaki
Dark Water (which proves my statement above, as the american remake was complete crap)
Onibaba
Kaidan
Kansen aka Infection (though it feature some scenes that can be called splatter)
Akmareul boatda aka I saw the Devil
Devil Woman (1970 Philipines)
666 (2010 Philipines)
Ang Mahiwagang Daigdig ni Elias Paniki ("The Enchanting World of Elias the Bat") (The 1989 Philipines movie, not the 2010 series with the same name)

Based on the same Story as A Tale of Two Sisters but different is Jang-Hwa and Hong-Ryeon: A Story of Two Sisters from 1972

Hanyo (aka The House Maid) - It's from 1960 and very difficult to find, i don't think there was ever a DVD release but i know that some movie streaming sites like Mubi.com have it

I also forgot to mention Profondo Rosso (aka Deep Red) from Argento and the very good french horror movies Les Diaboliques
