Explain to me how Homosexuals are "born that way".

I understand why they are born that way. none of em are born acting camp or with the camp voice. That comes from gay pop culture the same way women dye their hair red to be like rihanna or hetro men will dress like beckham, tiny tempah and what have you.

It has always seemed logical to think homosexuality had something to do with immunizations one or both parents had received only because vaccines have the potential to alter DNA and hormones, but I had no reason to delve into it beyond that suspicion until this thread and I found this:

I don't agree. My gay friend says he wanted to go to the 5th grade dance with another boy. He still hadn't hit puberty yet. He had never been told anything about gays, so he wasn't being influenced by anyone. He didn't know he was gay at the time. He didn't think about having sex with the boy, he just knew he had no interest in going to the dance with a girl. He knew it was different because the other boys were talking about which girls they were going to ask. It never occurred to him to go with a girl. It never occurred to the other boys not to go with a girl.

The 5 year old boy who likes barbies and the 5 year old girl who likes GI Joes are only showing gay tendencies in the minds of ignorant adults. It is not an indicator of which gender they will want to have romantic or sexual relationships with 10+ years down the line. If they stay around people who condition them to think they are not normal, they are more likely to do abnormal things because they will grow into that identity of not being normal.

My friend didn't play with Barbies. He was very athletic - loved sports, climbing trees, etc. He knew he was different because he realized he had different feelings about other boys - not sexual yet - but different. It's the same as when a 3rd grade boy will pull a girl's pigtails. They do it because it's a precursor to being attracted to the girl. They don't really realize it yet - and it's way before sexual attraction starts - but it is the beginning of a certain attraction. I'm sure you know what I mean. This is how he felt about other boys.

My friend's parents didn't know he was gay - they treated him the same as they treated his brother (his brother is heterosexual). They had the same toys, were put in the same softball leagues, taken to the same movies, went to the same schools, even wore the same clothes (hand-me-downs). I'm not saying that there aren't some situations where environment plays a part, but I also think there are times when a person is simply born that way. I have the same question about a personality trait such as shyness. Is a person shy because of the environment they were raised in, or because they have the genetic marker for shyness? I think both could be true.

They aren't born this way, they are conditioned this way. Most gay men turn gay because they are either unattractive to women or they are conditioned at an early age to shy away from women. This then turns them gay as they need a sexual outlet. Simple as that.

My reasoning is odd.

They are born that way due to the lack of freedom of life. (AKA Free Will)

Everything in existance led to them being born at that time and place, and existance continued to shape them. They had no other choice in the matter, just as you could be no one other than yourself.

It's just they way they were born. Same as I was born hetro. I've said this before. I could sleep with a man, it would take a helluva lot of money. No attraction though. I'm straight. That wouldn't make me gay, it would make me a whore.

I had a friend, who was one of 8 boys, and one of the twins, there were 2 sets of twins, his father, grandfather and great-grandfather had been United Church ministers. The boys had mainly stopped going to Church and had too many memories of suits in Church in the summertime, so they had phobias against religion.

But this friend had had an NDE, that transformed his life so he was deeply spiritual, and gradually over time, years, he graviated back to attending Church, and he was not really educated on the homosexual situation. But he was asked to make a presentation, to gather the research. Once he began to research the medical information, he did end up knowing full well, as he knew God was Love, and not like the warring God of the bible either for that matter, that everyone counts, that if anything at all, the presence of so much diversity is to test us, on our compassion and understanding.

We are never to control others, we have a right to basic Virtues and Common Law, that they should not rape, murder, steal or harm us, but we have no right to set up rigid societies of control, the way we wish, or infringe upon others.

Its not up to you, to decide anything about anyone else's sexuality or judge them for it.

My God "instructs" me that the act of homosexual relations is a sin. A man loving a man is perfectly fine. A woman loving a woman is perfectly fine. Love is encouraged, lust isn't, in ANY case (even between a man and woman).

And Homosexuals can go to Heaven, if they truly believe in Christ and actively get conviction for ANY of their sins, whether they are liars, drug addicts, porn addicts, WHATEVER. Jesus died for the sins of ALL. Homosexuals aren't excluded.

OP, it's clear that your opinion of homosexuality comes from the Old Testament of the bible. The same chapters that condemn homosexuality also condemn a married woman, who is not a virgin, to death.

In those days a woman was married by the age of 13 or 14. How do you think a girl like that looses her virginity? By sluttiness? I don't think so, rape and incest are more likely the case. Did the girl choose to loose her virginity, could she have said no? I don't think so.

Your biblical god also condemns people to death simply for being born in the wrong city. Did they have a choice in the matter? No!

You seem to think that because the bible condemns something, then god didn't create it, or it isn't natural. Your premise is all wrong and you draw your information from the wrong source, if your looking for truth.

I'm so glad you asked! I am Gay, and as far back as I can remember, I've been attracted to the same-sex. I'm talking like earliest memory here at around age 4 or 5. I've always had crushes and attractions to girls.

Fast forward a bit into my life leading up to adolescence:
Being brought up in a Christian house-hold I was taught that my feelings were abnormal, un-natural and a sin sooooo great that I would surly burn in the sea of eternal hell fire. So, I tried to 'Pray Away the Gay'. Spent close to 5 years praying, joined a Christian Youth Group, Got closer to Jesus Christ and my God and thought...hmmm, I still have the same feelings, what do I do?

So, I buried them, nice and deep. Still I prayed, became even more actively involved in doing God's work, hoping he would forgive me for my desires. Still nothing. Needless to say from ages 16 to 19 it was horrible for me, but I won't get too much into what happened later...because quite frankly, most of the haters on here won't believe it anyway...I'll be accused of promoting the Gay Agenda.

The Point: I WAS BORN THIS WAY

In a nut shell here you go... EVERYONE starts off as a female when they are a zygote, which is the reason men have nipples (seriously). About 3 weeks after conception, the chromosomes decide what they are going to do. Will they stay female, or will they go male? During this process the chemistry of the body starts to form, and the sex is decided. This is where a male is made, but some of the female chromosomes are left over, or vice versa. This is how people are born gay.

You don't seem to get what the scientific community has confirmed. I'll try to explain it.

Homosexuality in men can be caused by a lack of prenatal testosterone. That is the amount of testosterone that a fetus receives from its mother before birth. This is different from pubescent testosterone, as it affects your entire chemical make-up from birth to death. It's proven that mothers who give birth to multiple males will significantly decrease the amount of prenatal testosterone in each subsequent male child. So if a mother has 5 boys over the course of 15 years, the oldest boy will receive the most prenatal testosterone, and the youngest boy will receive the least. The less prenatal testosterone a boy has, the less male-dominant traits he develops.

Now, I personally believe that anyone can be gay or straight. I've been straight my whole life. I classify myself as heterosexual. However, I am very open with my sexuality, and I have had homosexual relations and enjoyed them. I still prefer women over men any day, but I find some men very attractive. Also, I am married to a woman and we have two boys together. So even without the aforementioned scientific evidence, my situation alone debunks your entire OP.

You have heard of birth defects right?

We have genes on the Y that can turn females with XX chromosomes into males and genes on the X that can turn males with XY chromosomes into females… wow! Maleness and femaleness are NOT determined by having an X or a Y, since switching a couple of genes around can turn things upside down.

Males are usually turned homosexual. They are either raped or had a "gay" experience when they were small. There is no such thing as a "Gay gene." Scientists say "in theory." That's not a fact but a theory. Besides I don't hate or dislike homosexuals. They're are people just like us but with different sexual orientation. I'm just saying there's no "Gay Gene."
