I remember those nostalgic days when the police was comprised of members of the community (Officer "Friendly") who were as helpful as firemen when it came to protecting and serving. Now, instead of helping rescue dogs, they shoot them; now, when a citizen asks for directions, they cuss them out for having the audacity to expect any assistance....now instead of being someone to respect and engage they are becoming someone to fear and avoid. This is probably no coincidence and we may well be witnessing the genesis of a police state in our own country. "There are no accidents...." FDR

Exactly. This guys video on his website has vintage footage of cops from the '40's & '50's contrasted against the jackasses we have now. It's easy to forget just what a happy and proud country we used to be.
