Issa, Chaffetz confirm contempt plans for Holder over Fast and Furious
Published April 27, 2012
FoxNews.com

It looks like Eric Holder may be brought to justice soon.

It won't be long now.

He and the Justice Department will face contempt charges soon perhaps.

House GOP leaders said Friday they are pursuing a plan to hold Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. and the Justice Department in contempt for “stonewalling” them over information regarding the administration’s failed Fast and Furious gun-tracking program.

GOP Rep. Darrell Issa confirmed to Fox News that House Speaker John Boehner gave him and others on his House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform the authority to drafted a contempt of Congress resolution.

“We have a few other options (but) to a great extent we’ve been stonewalled by the Justice Department,” said Issa, R-Calif.

But if there should arise in its midst a plot,
then at the head of that plot will be no other than one of our most trusted servants.

“We have issued a subpoena,” Utah GOP Rep. Jason Chaffetz, a member of the oversight committee, said earlier on Fox News. “We have bent over backwards to be patient and take time. (Holder) is leading us down a path where we have no other choice.”

Obama's only recourse will be to stop the advancement of that issue and put a cork on the whole mess by asking Holder to fall on his sword.

Otherwise, a nasty thing (with sub-issues) to have hanging over your head during re-election if Holder stays.

Holder is as cagy and sharp as a weasel. He has his own dirt to use if there is an attempt to throw him under the bus.

This is how crooks work....number one Mafia tactic. I predict large sums of money will cross dirty palms before this is all over..

If there is a contempt charge levied against Holder...it's gonna be a wild and wooly ride.....one I want a front row seat for....

I was saying that it cannot go that far for Obama's sake.. Holder will go quietly. I'd bet all of my ATS points (whatever they are where ever they are) on that being the only tactic they have.

Actually, were he not a black man I believe Obame would have had his head by now. He is damaged merchandise, a detriment to the campaign.

I am no fan of Obama, but I would surely like to know on what basis you make this comment. Sounds like you are implying that because Obama's black, he will give special treatment to another black man. Do you have proof of this allegation or are you just spewing narrow-minded nonsense?

That wont prevent contempt nor any further subpoenas.. If anything, by doing that, asking him to fall on his sword, its going to force the hounds at the gate to get even louder. I dont see any quiet non politically damaging way out of this one for the administration.

Not to mention if Holder does do that, do you really think the inquiry will end at his level? They will be looking for anything to show the President knew about what was going on. IF they are going to seriously investigate this then they better make sure they get all the info, even if it started prior to Obama coming to power.

On a side note the stats were released from Mexico about the number of weapons seized coming into their country from 2010 (if I remember right) - 68,000

. . . . . And in other news. . . . . . .

Eric Holder and the Dept. of Justice has started an investigation of racism in the offices of representatives Issa, Chaffetz.

Just wait for it folks. Beezzer's Crystal Ball is right 30% of the time, every time.

Nothing will happen to this AG until we have a different POTUS, and maybe even not then. Obama has his back because Holder is, after all, one of the main cogs in the wheel of the progressive's plans to take away your weapons and push toward social justice in all its forms such as wealth redistribution and reverse discrimination. Holder and his minions are covered in teflon, and will remain so. If anyone takes a fall for the murder of a guy who was protecting our international border, it will be some currently un-named mid-level scapegoat.

I predict that, even if he is charged, tried and convicted of any crime, such as complicity in the death of a federal border agent for example, his sponsor, Obama, will pardon him before leaving office. Holder will not serve any jail time for his actions.

I think Eric Holder is already packing his bags.

Justice attorney Ronald Weich has resigned over Fast & Furious.

More resignations to follow.

I certainly love all this corruption in governments being recognized recently. Gives me hope things could actually start to get better in the near future with a little honest investigation.

Only thing that makes me a little angry is these governmental bodies doing internal investigations. Internal investigation to me kind of defeats the purpose of an investigation when they decide what gets found. Which in all probability is just the tip of the iceberg. Real corruption will never see the light of day when anyone can be a scapegoat.

GSA Scandal

Secret Service Scandal

EPA extremist Al Armendariz - Crucify Oil & Gas Companies like the Romans did
He was appointed by Obama to oversee the most important section in the USA.

I think Holder will resign around June 29, 2012.

We will be reaching critical mass very soon.

We all know the strategy behind Fast & Furious was to attack the 2nd Amendment.

It all went wrong.

John Boehner is not giving the go ahead to charge Holder with contempt.

Cowardly Speaker Boehner resisting Contempt of Congress for Holder (Updated)
www.examiner.com...

DoJ is playing CYA big time with a FOIA request from CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson.

Government's answer to "Fast and Furious" records requests: Blank pages
www.cbsnews.com...

I viewed the PDF file on the FOIA response. All I can say is they must have much to hide because the emails they provide were mostly blank. One email began with "Hello," and ended 1and 1/2 pages later: "Thank you for your help."

DoJ is covering alot of personnel's hides here. This type response shows that information from the FOIA isn't very free when a cover-up is involved.

They aren't just crooks they are obstructing justice which makes them criminals.
The POTUS won't let soldier Kevin O'Reilly testify in Fast and Furious (he wants to testify).

Keith O'Reilly could testify over the phone.

Right now he is hiding behind Hillary Clintons skirt in the American embassy in Iraq!

Thanks for the updates SEL. I hope someone will grow a pair, and follow through with the investigation. If not, it's setting a precedent for all future investigations into government agencies. I know it's not the first time agencies have stonewalled previous committees, but this one could be the end of holding any agency accountable to the American public, that funds said agencies.
