I am personally fed up with the Obama administration for a multitude of reasons. The biggest being the lack of respect he has for our military and veterans. But that's just the tip of the iceberg fo me.

So I was wondering, Are there ant of his supporters here with us in the ATS community?

If so, why do you support him? and will you be voting for him in November?

Also any non-Obama supporters, I would also love to hear your reasons why you do not support him.

I'm not authoring this thread as a bash the president thread. I really am curious and want to have a real mature disscusion about this.

He is a liar. He hates freedom. He truly believes we are to stupid to see through his lies. He has no respect for working people. He panders to those who will not work in hopes of gaining their votes.

As an old Reagan Republican, I'm ashamed to say it, but I might vote for Obama simply because he seems to be somewhat more resistant to Israel's demands for another and much more destructive Gulf War than is Romney. Romney appears to be fully sold on Israel's right to dictate every detail of American foreign policy, while Obama has supposedly "frustrated" Bibi by his opposition to an attack on Iran.
It's not much to go on, as I suspect Obama will "come around" when he needs the Israel lobby's donations, but it's the only thing that would make me think of voting for Obama.
Of course, I continue to hope that Ron Paul will be on the ballot and that the Constitution can be salvaged!

I wouldn't say I'm a supporter, but I guess I haven't seen a list of his "evils".

I guess I'll follow this thread so I can see what he's done other than just being called names.

Vote RP as a write in candidate. If enough of us do it, MAYBE they will get the message.

I won't vote for him, but I might bet on him. Depends on the line.

The elections seem so rigged that even a 40 cent line isn't that much of a bother.

My plan exactly. I really will only be going to vote for the local posistions as those votes still seam to count for something.

No it isnt.

And Obama is not a Socialist. It is an insult to Socialists to call him a Socialist. It shows that you do not understand socialism. You are also being McCarthyist.

Obama is a crony capitalist and a liar and a smug jerk. And any socialist that understands socialism would not vote for him.

Socialists are workers not slackers.

Obama is terrible. There is no need to insult socialists when you rip on him. It makes you sound silly. There is plenty to attack Obama on without insulting socialists.

I was at my VFW last night and of course the topic of conversation turned to politics. The place was filled with old white guys ( You know, the same guys that people love to bash as RePubs...
)

Almost to a man, many supported Obama and will be voting for him again this year.

When I inquired why, the most popular response was, "because I'm a Democrat."

And when I told them that I always see them complaining about the Gov't and the price of things on the street and asked who was in charge now, I recieved blank stares. ( Well, one guy said that it was Bushes fault.
)

And not one could name one positive thing that this Admin has done, but they'll still be voting for him..."because I'm a Democrat."

I find that mindset disgusting. I'll be looking for another Post to become a member of...one that doesn't have zombies in it.

Not an Obama supporter. Not Romney fan either.

Voting for RP this election, even if it may be wasting my vote. It's too sad that it's all about how much money you have in your campaign coffers.

I don't understand where this whole "lack of respect" for military and veterans comes from?? I can't recall anything that I have seen or heard that makes me think he dosen't respect the military or veterans? If I'm wrong or missed something please let me know.

As far as who I will be voting for it will be Ron Paul (wether he's on the ballot or I have to write him in) although I'm pretty sure it will be obama who wins,I do think that Obama has had a rough go of it during his term, I mean it wasn't like everything was all rainbows and roses when he got elected and I personally don't think he's made things any worse (or better) but I won't be voting for him based on certain bills he's passed and because of "Obama care" while I do agree with the idea of everyone having AFFORDABLE healthcare that won't happened until the whole healthcare industry (hospitals, insurance compaines, drug compaines and everyone else) stop viewing healthcare as a way to make money and instead as a way to take care of people. just my little 2cents for what it's worth.

i think the real question should be why support any of the candidates running for potus??? I was a Obama supporter but around 2010 i realized that the guy was not really for the people he is just extending Bushes view of on executive power, which is the president can do whatever the hell he wants. Romney is just the worst, the guy really doesnt stand for anything and just wants to be president. Probably because the USA is a business and just wants to help his powerful friends make more money. And Ron Paul is the best candidate in this election but lets be honest some of the positions he holds are pretty radical.

Here is one example here. There are many more than this one but this is a great example.

Obamacare Will Sever Insurance For Veterans

Even though I live outside the US I still have friends and family living there and care about my native country. I moved away before Obama was running for Prez so don't know the whole scoop but it doesn't sound too great, nor was it so terrific when I left under Bush's regime - which BTW was a large part of the reason for leaving.

My intent is to vote for Ron Paul, on the ballot or as a write-in. I expect that will help split the vote away from Romney if it does not get Paul elected. The one big positive for Obama is that he promised to keep hands off the States' medical MJ laws and from the reports I receive he has mostly been able to do that. 75 years of prohibition is absurd and an insult. Romney has said he opposes the States' and the peoples' wishes regarding that policy and I expect he would bring back in the hounds, hike-up the Drug War, and send us the bill. Yes, I still pay US taxes.

Paul first, Obama as a default, and who-the-heck-knows what Romney would actually do regardless of what he says(?), but we all know where his interests lie - no way I'd vote for Romney.

I think I agree. Our medical mj law here in Michigan is still in it's infancy and the only problems they have had that I am aware of is from local law enforcment due to the vaugeness of the laws. I also think Romney would bring problems to it. I will be writing in Paul as well.

I am a supporter. Big time, nothing has disuaded me. When I talk to conservatives, and I live in Ga. I am up to myarmpits in conservatism, so many of thier beliefs are EASILY proved falsehoods and they all have the same wrong facts.

Obama has been swimming upstream from the beginning after being handed the previous 8 years spend and borrow stinking pile. Romney, if you can figure out what his position is at any given time, is only offering more of the Bush years -- so 4 more!!! Then Hillary!

Do you support his role in some of the new bills being written and in some cases passed that everyone is up in arms about, NDAA, and others?

Thank you for your opinion.
