Space between things, ATS and taking a break for sanity...

Ok, i know i know ATS is great and everything and its my favorite forum to read and source for informations, but here is the thing;

TAKE A BREAK IF YOU HAVEN'T.

Take like 2 weeks off and go out and do normal things for a while and get back into the real world. Stop drinking for a day, eat gmo food for a day, trust me a day won't kill you that fast. Just ground yourselves out on reality. I know i went through this when i first jumped into the rabbit whole. Something that helped me was forgetting everything i was learning, then coming back and more objectively analyzing things after creating some space. It might actually help you refine your ideas and philosophies to do this once in a while. I know it has helped me.

Good advice there friend! If you were sane when you started, chances are you are no longer sane any more. IMO no one is sane but this website can bring some sanity one thread ,then tare it away from you the next. My craziness just so happens to follow me where ever I go, so taking a break for me would be like leaving one mental hospital just to go to the next lol

Yea i take my insanity everywhere with me to. Rofl, one house to the next is hilarious. I take it to work sometimes to. I read ATS at night then go to work and have to shutup. The hard thing is i believe in financial slavery and working for nothing so its hard at work.

Well said. We may live in a horrible horrible world. But that doesnt mean we cant go out and enjoy it.

I go from here to ghost radar,then my wife screams at me,and I come back here.
Then my dogs bark wanting out,then my kids bother me with nonsense,then my wife screams at me again,then I come back here.
Then I have to poop it all out.

That is within an hour of coming home.

You forgot Fukushima

ATS is fine, as long as you avoid Breaking Alternative News, American Political Madness, and Social Issues. Those three are generally where the bad stuff is. BA and Social are the worst on the whole site. Nobody in there wants solutions; they just want to wallow in doom porn and get very angry with you if you suggest that they should be more positive.

Also don't go into 9/11 unless you either believe the official account, or want to get trolled to death. Some of said trolls are truly nasty, as well; they are really desperate to ensure people believe the pancake theory, for some reason.

Other than that though, I like this forum.
