Just a week after its ICBM test we are about to witness the launch of a synthetic aperture spy satellite. These are sats which can view through cloud
cover or darkness to spy on enemy movements. This is the first radar spy sat from India. All the previous sats were optical high resolution sats which
means they were useless in cloud cover or darkness.

There have been a lot of military development lately that I am aware of. A few of them are:
1. Launching of a nuclear submarine with nuclear missile launch capabilities and also leasing of an Akula Class nuclear submarine from Russia.
2. Launching of an ICBM which can cover whole of Europe.
3. Building of two new aircraft carriers.
4. Buying 126 new French Rafale Jets and 250 Russian 4.5 generation Sukoi30 jets.
5. Building of more than 10-15 stealth frigates and destroyers with long range missiles capable of projecting power.
6. Buying naval transport docks capable of transporting huge numbers of troops and iquipments to far away shores.
All these within a very short time frame.

Okay, you remind me why a % of my time is split watching topics come up here. It's better than CNN and Fox combined! (Sometimes)
I hadn't heard half of that and sure appreciate the information for context in that area of the world. There is a lot going on, apparently, totally outside of Iran, Afghan and the whole mess further West.
