Yeah, a couple of degrees causes expansion of the crust which causes the plates to slide under each other faster. The reason change goes slow is because of the mass of the materials to be warmed. What is happening now is affecting weather twenty to forty years from now. I like forty years because it gives a smoother pattern.. We haven't really done any improvement in the last forty years worldwide, it actually got worse. We exported all the jobs not the pollution of the world. Forty years ago noone knew that it would still effect the planet by causing polution from china. The government figured it would be better for the health of our citizens to send these jobs to other countries not realizing the non-regulated pollution would still haunt us. They had an excuse back then, they didn't have research to show them. We have no excuse for denying the evidence and the consequences. Everyone in the USA knows we are screwing up the planet, just because we can't agree exactly on the causes doesn't mean we can deny it. Hit it on multiple fronts, stop buying things that screw up the water when we flush it down the toilet or wash clothes. Turn off the lights when not using them. combine trips to the store, vacation locally and buy locally produced foods as much as possible. These things cross many reasons for how they help our planet. Let the cockroaches and bedbugs stay where they are.

Wouldn't 0.29C or any increase for that matter, be considered warming? If you said there was a 0.29 decrease then it would not be considered warming.

If you look at the big picture that 0.29C increase is not statistically significant and may not even be an accurate figure. We do not have enough reliable data points to confirm or deny global warming. In the '70s there were global cooling alarmist.

Global warming/climate change is a distraction and a tool for the carbon credit scam. Global warming is not a threat to humanity. Pollution of our waters and land, deforestation, and over fishing is a serious threat to our survival.

We cannot forget Easter Island.

based on what?

a .29c increase would indeed be significant in terms of the human big picture. That's half a degree Fahrenheit for Americans :-).

Based on statistics 101.

Global warming, more specifically carbon credits is a scam. We have far more vital things to address on this planet of ours.

Can you show me what statistics you employed to come to the conclusion that a .29c global mean temperature increase wouldnt have an effect on the planet or the way humans live on it?

Please, show your work. I'm very interested.
