Thanks for giving us another brilliant topic to research.
I'll start on this tomorrow as it's a bit late here in the UK.

Well the Black Panther party were just a bunch of black terrorists hiding behind race and political motivations.

So he is dead...good!

Although I was not around at the time or witness to their goings on I know that Fred Hampton and Sherman Forte had reputations within the FBI or being a "danger to the American people" and their seperate rants or speeches were very provocative and militant in nature. They were no peaceful either rather the opposite often hiring goons to burn down opposition and threatening neighborhoods that were opposed to their garbage.

Bunch of jokers.

Good thread and kudos for drawing some attention to this period of rampant violence by our government.

There were quite a few assasinations of folks combatting injustice and the status quo in the 60's and 70's.

Hoover and the clandestine conservative establishment that empowered him were thugs and murderers.

I've thought about that myself.

I am not black so I can't see myself getting into this topic, though I know that in the eyes of our Elite, I as a poor white, am just as worthless as black people.

If you read RA's post and do research of your own, you will know the black panther party WASN'T a black terrorist group. Even as much as you would like to believe that were true. However, I digress, the point of the post isn't only about Mr. Hampton, it's also about how the FBI illegally used there power to stifle anything that they thought might hinder there power. As an African American I'm really pleased to read this post but it also gives credence to others who have been killed in a massive conspiracy against people who wanted to bring ALL people together whether they be white, black or another race/religion . If you read the post and only saw BLACK PANTERS and admidiatly cast the post aside, then you don't have a clue. This post isn't about just the black panters or the FBI, it's about a massive conspiracy, before and well after the murder of Fred Hampton. A conspiracy to silence those who fought and encouraged people to unite for the betterment of all.

In the eyes of the power brokers those who aren't in a certain blood line are not nessarily worthless but are tools or things that they use to gain and maintain power. Remember without us the "worthless" they have no power period!!
For one to be powerful there needs to a group that is the opposite. That's why they try very very hard to maintain this strangle hold of illusion on people. Without that illusion people will wake up and realize that they really have no power at all. You aren't worthless you are just conditioned to think you are.

Great Thread RA! S&F
I saw on youtube a documentary about Fred Hampton they used the actual news footage of his murder.Conintelpro is still ongoing only now they use the term "Cognitive Infiltration" trying to make it as harmless as possible. You might want to look into Leonard Peltier and the American Indian Movement and the 1985 bombing of the MOVE Organization's home. Also,I expect you will begin to hear accusations from some about "supporting domestic terrorists."

From my (admittedly limited) understanding, the Black Panther Party was actually far from the creepy organisation they are now at their inception.

Either way it's a fascinating read, and even if you dislike the party it's always nice to learn some new history.

This is a very interesting read, I remember hearing about this in high school but of course when it came time to learn about the civil rights movement I was taught the black panther party were an armed militant group more or less equal to that of a street gang. I never thought much of it but then again when I was still in grade school the Internet was still in its infancy and further reading if interested was hard to do. Thank you for taking the time to post this!

Well done as always RA. The 60's just seemed like a terrible decade for hero's and revolutionists since they were getting killed around a sensitive era of the world and is still going on to this day by secret services. I saw a documentary on Fred a long time ago and this thread offered more light then that video ever did. Epic thread is epic

I don't see your point at all.

I'm a Caucasian male and yet I'm fascinated by Fred Hampton, the Black Panther movement, Civil rights, Luther king and so on and on. Skin color has absolutely nothing to do with anything here and I don't see why It's been brought up by you in such a way.

Thank you for this awesome post.

I grew up on Chicago's South Side and discovering the assassination of Fred Hampton was one of my first exposures to conspiracy research. Many years later I attended a discussion held by Akua Njeri to protest the imprisonment of their son, Fred Hampton Jr., who had been convicted of firebombing a Korean-owned shop. The prosecution's evidence strongly pointed at Hampton while Njeri argued her son's "kidnapping" was part of continued government attacks on activists in the African-American community.

What I find most compelling is that the BPP and its leaders have consistently been discredited as a terrorist street gang as opposed to a socialist political threat. That said, I hope this post fuels further investigation of COINTELPRO infiltration of activist groups, as well as potential federal and corporate ties to the exploding availability of heroin and crack-coc aine in America's urban centers during the 70s and 80s.

Really?

Are you that ignorant? The Black Panthers were about empowerment, empowering black people to fight the oppression that was still going on back then.

The party became corrupted and criminal eventually after the repeated attempts by the FBI and other groups to dismantle the Black Panthers.

Yes in the latter half of the time of the Black Panthers it was nothing more than a name with criminals using it to enforce their way but in it's birth and during the latter days it was about freedom for the black person from the psychological slavery that was still going on long after the physical slavery.

One of the very active Chicago Black Panthers from the same era, Bobby Rush, has gone on to serve the United States in Congress for many decades. He probably has done so much good on a daily basis that tens of thousands of lives have been touched, and at one point in his life he used his energy to build up the Black Panthers into something which reflected his inner-self at the time. There is no BP Party now, what Fox News is trying to push are seven or eight guys walking around but, who knows, maybe they too will be touched by the spirit inside them and actually make something constructive emerge from all their publicity, be it on Fox News which will drop them like seven or eight hot potatoes if they start doing good.
