North Korea Boasts of Ability to Destroy US Military in 'Single Blow'

North Korea is boasting of “powerful, modern weapons” that can defeat in a single blow the United States which it accuses of plotting a war against it.

Chief of general staff, Ri Yong Ho, gave no further details about the weaponry in his speech to mark the North Korean army's 80th anniversary.

This is an interesting story yet it is clearly just propaganda form the North Korean’s, I would imagine it’s just a message to appease the people of North Korea rather than a real threat. However it does seem to show that the new regime is beginning to speak out against America with the rhetoric of war although I personally don’t think it’s time for anyone to start worrying about war just yet.

I do wonder however what these weapons are that the North Korean’s are claiming to have.

Yet lacks the ability to make that blow here before getting blown out of the sky. Technically they are right. Even the emp could take us out, but they wont try

An EMP could do some serious damage in a single blow. The only question is do they have the means, because they certainly have the motive. The effects are easily achieved if you were to detonate a warhead at the right height in the atmosphere.

I'm not saying its true, but it wouldn't be so far-fetched to believe what they're saying about how the US is plotting a war against North Korea. Its just history repeating itself, again. But I'm sure there are many other factors involved here.

i could possibly maybe worry about N.Korea if they had successfully ever launched a missle. Jr is merely babbling to his starving people. But hey give the man a "E" for effort.

I'm on the fence with this one....

That being said, two things come to mind;

Iranian specialists were present during the North Korean failed missile attempt (if you don't believe it was shot down)

Iran has great cyber attack capabilities and both military and technical expertise (both of which have been underestimated by the U.S. in the past).

If you just look at one nations capabilities, the idea of an attack seems slightly far fetched. However if they are working together (i.e NK helps Iran with nuclear information and Iran provides NK with technical and missile information) then the threat becomes a very high possibility.

They can say whatever they want and they know it. North Korea is completely immune and safe from "American" aggression. They have no resources that the paedophile Satanists in the Pentagon would be interested in. Since they love human sacrifice, they could torture and kill their entire population and those sick bastards in Washington would have orgasms over it.

If they had large amounts of oil under their country, half the American fleet would be on their way there right now.

They have to be able to deliver whatever these super weopons may be to where ever they desire them to be. Kind of a problem when everything "rocket-like" that comes out of there will immediately be lasered before it can go anywhere. (isn't that what happened recently???????) With the level of Monitoring that we have on them 24/7, I wonder if a cockroach could get out of there without being noticed.

I think they are more likely to come at us assymetrically, with their people here on our soil doing things on a nationwide similtanious spot location basis, delivering poisons to our water/air/food. Modern way to do it could be using an I-Pad as the delivery case.

Right... A country that cannot even get a rocket to fire successfully is now capable of this? How exactly do you suppose they have completely missed thousands upon thousands of technological steps they would need to take to reach this level of capability?

The only way they could do something like this is with the immediate and direct help from another nation. Basically, another nation would have to ship something to them, and fire it from NK. They would effectively be using NK as a launchpad for their own ends, NK is not capable of doing anything even remotely close to what you suggest.

And OP, I agree with you that this is just more propaganda intended for their own people. As I understand the NK people think their "satellite" is now in orbit and broadcasting songs - to who exactly? lol
There was talk about them being honest and saying that it failed, but after that there were statements that suggest it was simply stated to them that the rocket took off, and left the launchpad. So they didn't lie, they just didn't tell the truth either.

This is intended to convince the military in NK and the people that they are powerful. They're not. As we've seen from other recent statements too, they're just a delusional as ever.
