After lurking around ATS for about 4 years i thought it was about time to sign up,throw my comment in the ring(so to say)
sitting here reading post after post after post...having conversations with myself about what i was reading ...sometimes shaking my head, sometimes not...
There is a huge wealth of information on this website, from the every day things ,to the more "out of this world" stuff.
Fresh news from the people, unfiltered stories of what is happening around them and not what the main stream media decides to show.
5 minutes of my local news VS 5 hours of surfing thru ATS...and the winner is...ATS every time!
two thumbs up for the people of ATS. Thank you,Thank you
I am looking forward to our future conversations .
that's all for now

PPS haven't figured out a signature yet so this will do

well when i was a younger lad...(i cant believe i just said that)...i had a job that posted me on the bridge fore a split shift during the day, started at 6 am...this one morning, calm water.not a ripple on the lake,i mean it was like glass.
i was looking south ,down the lake when literally out of the blue there was a series of4 or 5 waves crashing on shore...no boats no wind...the waves were all of 50 feet long, unlike a wake from a boat that will lead you right to the boat....just 50 feet of waves that's it..
i live right on the lake, i see waves all the time...this was different....ill chalk this one down as unexplained.
ogopogo???maybe..

thanks for the warm welcome.
I am a believer that something may happen, what?,when?,where?.
these are things that have occurred before and will continue long past our time here,be it slow and rhythmical like movements of galaxies, or catastrophic and instantaneous such as a global impact event (worst case)

"IT" will happen,I don't know what,or where, but "it" will eventually happen...whatever it is..i know mainstream media would tell us.....lol....yeah....not.!!
anyways that's my 5 minutes for now, looking forward to refreshing my typing skills here at ATS.

once again thanks for the welcome.

Official ATS Ogopogo...

cool picture,Ogopogo has been talked about for nearly 2000 years by the local first nations and there ancestors,I remember reading a book about pictographs of ogopogo found on the island depicting the okanagan valley and the serpent "N'ha-A-Itk" or sacred creature of the water
i remember conversations with some old timers that worked on the old floating bridge back in the early 50s,they were telling me of GIANT sturgeons that would scare the divers right out of the water, and refusing to ever go back in the lake again.
I pretty much grew up on this lake, and have seen some rather large fish,23 to 25 lb rainbow trout.
I would imagine a long long time ago the food chain was quite a bit larger.
anyway thanks for the welcome, the ogopogo picture brought back some childhood memories i thought i would share with ya.
