The only intelligent post in this thread. The article and pearl crushing ATS members blew this way out of proportion. Sounds like the mother is a bit bad at her job. Probably why shes not married anymore.

" we have no idea if something could have been passed from the unscreened person.. " (grandmother) " ..to the person "(4 year old girl).
common sense is buckling under constant assault from manufactured potential threats. the pervasive atmosphere of suspicion and fear, that is now shaping how we live, is generated, fed and nurtured by those that would have us all mere cowering subjugated citizen clones. with the assistance of great numbers of those self-same clones-to-be.

OK. The premise is that the TSA are a bunch of thugs run amok. Personally, that's a bit strong, I think. Are there problems? Obviously.

My own experience with TSA is limited, and I, for the foreseen future, intend to keep it that way. Some are power tripping bullies...most are probably not.

I suppose the question here is, "what do you, meaning all of you, intend to do about it?" Other than moan about it, I mean...

The best way in the world to handle this stuff at airports is for a massive number of people to tell the airlines that I (you) won't be flying again, anytime soon. ...and tell 'em why. Trust me when I say, when it begins to effect their bottom line, the airlines will force the change.

Boycott the airlines, and let them know why you're boycotting. Eventually they'll make the changes happen.

I don't know about others, but I took the route of engaging my Representative and Senator in dialogue about it via mail and emails. Boycotting Airlines makes no sense, as they are not the ones doing this. When they had their own security, we did not have as many issues.

I don't think whether or not or how many of the TSA Agents act inappropriately is the issue here. The issue to me is should a citizen traveling from inside the US to a location still inside the US ever have to be put through this at all? Not once has this process stopped anything it was intended to stop. We also know from the Israeli's that there is a far better way to do this and it's so well done, nobody complains.

I've only had one bad experience with this out of a couple of dozen flights, I'll admit. But one is enough. They don't even fire the TSA workers when they act like thugs, because they cannot replace them. They quit faster than they can hire them.

Is it hard being that poor? I would think so. Anyway, you are visiting a website that is purely profit driven and its not a necessity. Your posts and visits make money for a company. The TSA agents are heroes and selflessly/bravely protect the American public. Your not fit to lick their glorious boots.

What will happen if an old lady or child blows up a plane or that terrorist planted or forces someone unsuspecting such as an old lady to carry a weapon or bomb for them?

On September 12th 2001 people would of welcomed this type of security. When the would-be bad guys get the idea to do something at the airport or plane, they would think twice hearing that little white boys and old ladies are being frisked.

So what if they are, so are you. Should ATS run this website for free?

The TSA agents are heroes and selflessly/bravely protect the American public.

Yes, Their intentions are heroic. Unfortunately, The truth of the matter is that their bosses are payed yes men, and their bosses bosses are tyrants. Not sure if you can comprehend what I am saying because your nose is so brown. However, When it comes down to children there has to be a line drawn. Otherwise, just racially profile them all.

Your not fit to lick their glorious boots.

Maybe he is not, but it's clear that you have done more boot licking here than anyone else. Yuh know, I was gonna come into this thread and post about how the TSA has never violated myself or my family on numerous International flights, but instead your blind allegiance to slavery forced me to join forces against your utter blind stupidity.

Course, That's not the TSA's fault either. No, that just rests all alone upon your own little sheoplized shoulders. ~$heopleNation

While I agree TSA and the security measures taken to "ensure safety" need a serious look at, there is a lot of exaggeration in this thread. When I go to DIA for example, there are thousands of people that pass through those checkpoints every day without a hitch. Often I get a very friendly TSA agent - my last trip to Vegas, got an extremely nice one, wished me luck (tho I was going on business), even drew dollar signs on my ticket. People act as if everyone who has that job is a criminal, and enjoys feeling up children. Obviously that's not reality.

There are some idiots in every job - including TSA. Not much you can do about that. The whole system is so poorly done, they should just scrap it and start over. Last trip, they let me take screwdriver bits one way, and then on the way back, confiscated them. For all the "serious" behind it, it's a huge goatscrew.

But regardless, it's not a horror story when you go to the airport - I've NEVER had an issue, and have never seen a person in front of me have an issue. It's a joke.. but it's not the horror story some of you make it out to be.

I take it you believe some dudes with boxcutter's did a job.

I also take it you live in fear and are more than likely not a very kindly person.

And i ALSO take it that you believe that out of the more than 25 billion flights that have flown, and not one of them been blown up by a grandmother, or ANYONE ELSE !! as a PASSENGER for god's sake... is LIKELY going to happen because some Freak thinks it will happen.

Always pushing people to the edge, TRYING to get this kind of thing to happen.

A Pathetic response, which must be eliminated, we need to destroy the scared people, the ones who scare, and the ones who live in fear LOL.

It is time to attack all these fearful people, get them for REAL, you want to bark ?? You scared ?? These who are always afraid of "someone is out to get me" are the same ones who believe the Official Line on everything, time to do away with any sway they have, and get on with POSITIVE ACTION.

Oy. Here we go again. This is officially rediculous.

The girl was accused of having a gun and declared a 'high security threat', while agents threatened to shut down the whole airport if she could not be calmed down.

An officer repeatedly said she had 'seen a gun in a teddy bear' in the past, in an apparent attempt to justify the situation.

This is out of control. No other words for it.

4 year old is security threat

ColoradoJens

Well to be honest people nowadays are pretty sneaky and scandelous. Ive heard of parents using their children to smuggle drugs and weapons before, what makes this situation any differn't. You see an eldarly woman and think AW she is so innocent...but reality may be that she slings drugs on the street and youd never know it. What if granny gets through the scanners and the little girl slips her a Kilo of dope or like TSA though a potential weapon. Gotta look at both sides of the coin here. What if they did nothing and granny did end up with a .45 in her purse on the plane...then what now 200+ passengers are now in danger.

Highly unlikely. This is more about control over the population.

On September 12th 2001 people would of welcomed this type of security.

Of course they would have. Just as they would have welcomed the borders to be closed so a dirty nuke was not ignited in Los Angeles or San Francisco. Course, I guess that would need some commonsense thinking eh?

When the would-be bad guys get the idea to do something at the airport or plane, they would think twice hearing that little white boys and old ladies are being frisked.

Oh really, how so? Actually, it would only encourage them because they know very well that everyone else but them gets frisked because of anti-racial profiling policies. Who exactly do you think that you're fooling anyway? This is like a circus side show or fantasy island. No, no wait, it's more like Bizzaro world where everything logical is backwards. Yeah, that is it, You're Bazzaro! That's the ticket guy!

In her terror, Isabella tried to run away rather than face a full body pat-down, which unsurprisingly enraged the TSA officers further. One officer even told the girl's mother that the airport would have to be shut down and every flight cancelled if the four-year-old did not co-operate. They also apparently described the little girl as a 'high security threat'. As Isabella was taken into a side room for a pat-down, accompanied by her mother, she could not stop crying and refused to let the agents touch her. An officer repeatedly said she had 'seen a gun in a teddy bear' in the past, in an apparent attempt to justify the situation Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk... t0pVHvHR

What a bunch of BS.. Really.. The world is at this point already?
As an American, I am fully ashamed that we as a people would allow such darkness. This is getting down right evil.
All of this because of 911? People really feel safer now? Having their children touched by these bottom feeders.

TSA has gone to far. Either we as a people do something about it. Or it will get further out of control. Lets face it. Its already well out of control.
When 4 year old little girls become security risks, no way I am going anywhere near those places. Purely its out of hand.. This is out of hand.

Touching a child who is asking not to be touched.. Don't people get put into jail for such things??

WTF.. Really? Touching children, who clearly are not packing heat..
What the hell . Sickens me.
And what Sickens me more, are the people who defend what they did..

If you are defending the TSA at this point, you need your head checked, Seriously.

So what are we as a collective society going to do about the travesty that is the TSA? Is it too late to stop them? What can we, as average citizens do? Are our fellow citizens too brainwashed to be saved?

I'm sorry, but anybody that thinks strip searching old ladies, fondling toddlers, and making outlandish claims against 4 year olds, is good for safety, they deserve to live in the hole they dug for the rest of us. They are idiots, and deserve everything the government is throwing at them.

For the rest of us, well, mobilization is the only way to stop this crap from happening. Boycotts, letter writing campaigns and good old fashioned protesting will make a difference if done right.

With every new TSA travesty, I wonder where in the Hell we went wrong.

Freedom for safety indeed.
