Facing bankruptcy, Detroit to spend $330K on Washington lobbyists

An ironic thing has happened recently.

The city of Detroit in the midst of its financial crisis has hired a Lobbying firm to attempt to get Federal funding !!

The City has signed a contract with the Clark Hill Lobby firm for $330,000 !!!

I wonder what the kickback price is ?

The mayor of Detroit has signed a $330,000 contract with a team of Washington lobbyists as he tries to save the city from bankruptcy.

The office of Mayor Dave Bing has employed Clark Hill, a law and lobby firm, to work on “funding for municipal government activities, including workforce development, education, public safety, transportation and housing,” according to public documents filed last week.

The city will pay Clark Hill a set fee of $330,000 for the contract, which will run until the end of the year, Deputy Detroit Mayor Kirk Lewis told The Hill.

Where is the State of Michigan on this ???????

By the way, Detroit stiffed a different lobby firm a few years back for not producing !!!

I am 100% sure Kwame Kilpatrick spent more then that at one night at a strip club, so I think this might be a step up for Detroit.

The irony behind all this is the big slap on the faces of tax payers in America that are learning now that having the American politic rats working for them cost money Our government is a corporate dictatorship and as such it relies on private institutions to govern the people.

In other worlds if the people do not have enough money to act as middle men between them and the people (tax payer and voters) they will not get darn thing but the finger by the corporate elite.

America we lost the government for the people and by the people a long time ago, America is run by fakes and traitors to the nation and its citizen but will do anything for the right amount of money.

Now you know why the people have not power anymore
