Chrome may be the faster bowser out there, but that is just because they didn't care to test Maxtho, page

I can't believe I've never heard of Maxthon, it looks really good actually. But I'm already a Firefox guy and I'll never turn back. The difference between Firefox and Chrome is negligible. Plus, I think most of the difference comes down the fact that Firefox has been in development for years longer than Chrome. Give it a few more years and Chrome will slowly reach the same speed as Firefox now. Just like a computer gets slower with time, browsers will do the same thing as they get more complex. Firefox also has countless extensions for everything imaginable and they make my life so much more damn easier. I literally have about 50 different add-ons installed which I use regularly. Firefox ftw.

That is based on faith rather than fact. They say "fastest browser" but that is not true. There are many test that prove otherwise.

Saying that a bowser is faster and ignoring the actual evidence against it.

What benchmark are you using? I don't get anything near those results.

I tested Oprah as well and it was a bit slower than Chrome (Much slower than Maxthon). What features does Oprah have that Maxthon does not?

It's Opera, not Oprah.

I see that Maxthon, like most other browsers, has been copying things from Opera, but Opera still has some things that I use frequently and that Maxthon (from what I have seen) does not:

- a very good way of defining search engines that let's me have a list of several search engines that I can use just by choosing from the right-click menu, so I can search something on Google or on Wikipedia or TinEye very quickly.

- it shows the EXIF data of images.

- it has an easy way of opening a new tab from almost all places where you can follow a url.

- email client.

- torrent client.

- an easy to use content blocker.

- an easy to use page preferences manager, that let's us manage pop-ups, cookies, scripting, etc. for any page.

But I saw some things I like in Maxthon, so I am keeping it.

PS: this post was made with Maxthon v3.3.9.2000.
