Don't you find it ironic, and extremely telling how leftwingers in this site seem to think that by voting on the lies and opinion from other leftwingers makes it to them the truth?.. Yet when EVIDENCE and FACTS are presented to them, they want to continue being blind, and want to ignore the facts presented?...

To all leftwingers, when you vote for FALSE OPINIONS it DOESN'T make them the truth...

It is obvious many, if not a majority of leftwingers do not want to learn. They want to ignore history, and the truth...

I only wonder how many leftwingers would LOVE to FORCE their ideologies on people, yet they claim they are not trying to force anything on anyone?...

How many leftwingers want to force a CO2 tax, or for EVERYONE to follow the lies and deception of the Anthropogenic Global Warming cabal?...

How many leftwingers agree with the idea of FORCING children, even not their own, and people into doing "Community Service"?...

How many want to FORCE some other idea they think "it is for the good of all" or "for the good of Earth", yet NONE of those leftwingers understands that by doing this they become accomplices of new dictators who want to FORCE and CONTROL every part of our lives?...

Another completely ridiculous post.

You realise, for instance, that, if you believe that C02 is damaging, that "forced tax" is in response to the "forced destruction of the environment" big business engages in all the time.

And on and on.

People like you want to pretend it's all one sided, but it's just wildly naive.

i thought this post was going to be about REAL political ideology talking, not about America.
I am disappoint. Fascism is right wing, autoritharism(word?) knows no compass and it can be present both in Left Wing and Right Wing. Fascism is by nature very authoritatian, and people like to generalize all authoritarians by calling them fascist.

Apparently, some kind of fashion that's IN since WW2. We need to learn about ideologies and terms, and we need to learn about combinations of behaviours and ideologies that make up all different kind of governments and governors, before we start to puke all terms randomly.

I leave since you seem to having a nice little debate about Obama and whatnot, good day Americans.

Fascism can exist on Both the Left and the Right anyone who says it is only a right wing characteristic doesn't know what the hell they are talking about.

"The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. "

FDR.

The left of this country has more power in this country which has become stronger than the state itself and exercise that power by many mechanisms.

the GW Bush regime was Fascist...but manned by neo-cons, State sponsered never-ending-war...

the BH Øbama regime is Fascist...but manned by committee consensus leftists, demanding redistribution of wealth disguised as tax fairness, mandatory health coverage socialism & whatever else he deems appropriate if reelected

each mindset was oblivious they were anti-constitution, flattering themselves with a Messiah view of themselves

bottom line... what ever constricts or constrains the living constitution could be seen as having a core of Fascism guiding the policies of the Government-Corporation Axis
aka: Military-Industrial Complex as the 4th branch of government

The only ridiculous post is yours. You are too naive to even exist in this world. First of all taxes on CO2 will be FORCED mostly on REGULAR PEOPLE...not on big companies...

Second of all CO2 IS NOT DESTROYING ANYTHING... CO2 is what plants need alongside water, and oxygen at night to exist. It is a known fact that higher levels of atmospheric CO2 than exist now is BENEFITIAL. But naive people like yourself have swallowed the lies and deception that "CO2 is bad"...

Third of all, you PROVED that leftwingers like yourself LOVE these FORCED taxes made on nothing but lies and deception just because "it makes you feel good"...

Actually fascism is very leftwing. Show me one fascist regime that was rightwing. Remember the true rightwing movement is about LIMITED government, no centralization of power, individual rights, and a true free market system...

Now show me ONE fascist government that was rightwing.

Your view (fascism = leftwing) might be true in your country, I don't know.
In Germany however, fascism is clearly defined as extreme rightwing and we oughta know, we have experienced fascism first-hand and had to review our history with it very thoroughly.
We also had socialism/communism, wich is clearly defined as extreme leftwing.

I don't understand the agitation over this matter anyways. The problem is obviously the "extreme-"side of both wings. I define myself as center-right-conservative and I have no problem calling fascism what it is: the extreme rightwing.
Even our Neo-Nazis here in Germany call themselves extreme rightwing.

Why do you insist on repeating this nonsense when it has been explained over and over that you have it backwards?

What school did you go to lol? In one ear out the other? Or do they not teach this stuff in American schools?

One fascist regime that was right wing? How about all of them? Fascism is the extreme of the right, anarchism being the extreme of the left.

Right wing is NOT limited government, right wingers are traditionally state-interventionists. Study the system of Mussolini, Hitler, Franco.

The original political meanings of ‘left’ and ‘right’ have changed since their origin in the French estates general in 1789. There the people sitting on the left could be viewed as more or less anti-statists with those on the right being state-interventionists of one kind or another. In this interpretation of the pristine sense, libertarianism was clearly at the extreme left-wing.

www.la-articles.org.uk...

Interventionism

Left wing is limited government, in fact left wing is anti-state, right wing is pro-state.

The King then handed over power to Mussolini by inviting him to form a new government. Mussolini was supported by the military, the business class, and the liberal right-wing.

en.wikipedia.org...

(the term liberal is not a synonym for left-wing. Most European governments are liberal right-wing. Your Democratic Party is liberal right-wing.)

Nazism was founded out of elements of the far-right racist völkisch German nationalist movement and the violent anti-communist Freikorps paramilitary culture that fought against the uprisings of communist revolutionaries in post-World War I Germany.

en.wikipedia.org...

He [Franco] came to power while recognizing the principles of the far-right Falange movement, although this was for propaganda reasons, as he belonged to no political party before becoming Head of State.

en.wikipedia.org...

You are trying to argue European history with the modern twisted American definition of terms. It doesn't work.

Fascism is a form of extreme right-wing ideology that celebrates the nation or the race as an organic community transcending all other loyalties.

Europe’s far right rises

The British National Party will be joined in the European parliament by far-right parties from across the continent. But how much support are fascists and racists really picking up?

www.redpepper.org.uk...

In Europe they recognize the correct use of left and right. They should as it all started in Europe.

Only in America has it been twisted. It was done on purpose after WWII to keep the workers from organizing on left-wing principles like the workers did pre-WWII.

WWII ushered in a new kind of fascism, one using social conditioning instead of guns to control the people.

You cannot be serious...

I've NEVER met a liberal who spoke anything of the sort.

IN FACT, I'm comfortable saying that every single left-winger I've ever known has criticized racists, bigots, fascists, totalitarians, eugenics, and so on with great zeal.

Though, I have met right-wingers who have been sympathetic to "master race" ideas.

You sir, or mam are very wrong. Fascism is a LEFTWING ideology.

Wow lol... No it is not. Yikes!

yes it IS an extreme liberal left wing agenda !!

Fascism is far right wing/authoritarianism. The left wing equivalent is communism/authoritarianism.

Authoritarianism is the key.

Edit: I agree that there's an agenda, however calling fascism extreme left wing is absurd and misinformed.

Someone posted this earlier, good example:

I disagree with the diagram.

It is not accurate.

Fascism and Communism belong in the upper left quadrant...

All the way over and in between social democracy and anarchism.

Disagree all you want, but you're absolutely and utterly wrong.

If you said this to me in person, I would laugh in your face so loud you'd flinch.

Social Democracy and Anarchism are the same as Fascism/Communism??? ARE YOU SERIOUS? (why must I keep asking people if they're serious?) I have no idea where you're getting this from except insane/unscientific right-wing fantasies and general right-wing hand-washing of ANY guilt or tyrannies they're guilty of. You're the socio-political equivalent of farting and then blaming it on the dog... except I think you actually believe your own lies.

I think you need to relax, look deep into yourself, and seriously consider the fact that you may be practicing what is called "double-think"...

From George Orwell's book 1984:

The power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them....To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just as long as it is needed, to deny the existence of objective reality and all the while to take account of the reality which one denies - all this is indispensably necessary. Even in using the word doublethink it is necessary to exercise doublethink. For by using the word one admits that one is tampering with reality; by a fresh act of doublethink one erases this knowledge; and so on indefinitely, with the lie always one leap ahead of the truth.

Are Americans so convinced that right-wing means smaller government, that they base their whole idea of right and left on that myth?

Because of that myth they think left wing must mean larger government?

What you need to realise is when the state says smaller government, they simply mean less intrusion in capitalist interests, not less authority, or more freedom, for you.

This is what happens in fascist systems, the state is all powerful. Every part of the state, school, church, police, military, government, is designed to control you to be subservient to the state. The difference in America compared to 1930's Europe is the capitalists in America have far more control over the state. It's economic [corporate] fascism by the capitalist state, as opposed to social fascism from the government. Overt force is not as necessary because you've all been dumbed down, and conditioned to support your exploiters.

When most people hear the word "fascism" they naturally think of its ugly racism and anti-Semitism as practiced by the totalitarian regimes of Mussolini and Hitler. But there was also an economic policy component of fascism, known in Europe during the 1920s and '30s as "corporatism," that was an essential ingredient of economic totalitarianism as practiced by Mussolini and Hitler.

www.banned-books.com...

What we have now is a fascist corporate dictatorship, hidden behind the illusion of choice and participation by a state system that ultimately has a singular agenda, to keep you making profit for someone else.

You are the one that got it backwards. I have already proven with FACTS and not BS comments like you keep doing that Mussolini, and Hitler were leftwingers... No matter how many times you and your cabal try to deny it, Mussolini was ALWAYS a socialist, and he wrote his socialist and nationalist ideas in the fascist manifesto... Hitler FORCED the few people who owned industries to make what Hitler and the Nazis demanded for them to do "for the good of the nation"... That didn't make HItler any less socialist.

Face the facts jack.

Myth?....

It is not a myth, it is the truth... Leftwing is ALWAYS consolidation of all power in the hands of a few "who claim to be the workers or represent the "workers"...

Republicanism as defined by the Constitution is rightwing, and Republicanism seeks less government control, more individual freedom, meanwhile leftwing ideologies like progressives/democrats, progressive democrats, liberals, socialists and communists seek to centralize all infraestructure, create central banks, progressive taxes, less individual freedom for the good of the collective, etc, etc...

Whatever school/college/university you went to it is obvious to have brainwashed you with it's leftwinger agenda...

Keep trying to "deny, deny, deny" no amount of denying is going to get rid of the truth...
