Roman Orgy Advert?

I open the new topics page and see this...scroll far right.

Roman Orgy, ATS?
In my opinion, that's going a bit too far. What kind of site do you want to be?
What kind of people are you trying to attract?
I am sure that I am not the only member who is put off by this ad.
The talking ads weren't annoying enough? Now it's adult games? On a forum that will not allow discussions about a certain herb?
Can't wait to see what comes next.

It´s a browser game. I don´t think it said orgy. That´s just your mind filling in the blanks.

That's the only game site I visit. I don't understand why this ad keeps popping up.
I am waiting for someone to tell me that it's because of all the porn sites I visit. That's the standard reply to threads like this.

Well in your pic the image is cropped and I can only read org....

So I assumed it didn´t actually say orgy. Did you see it actually say orgy? The site itself hasn´t got any hint to orgies at all.

But it may be a marketing ploy to garner attention. It would work obviously.

If it really said orgy I stand corrected.

Yeah, I took a screenshot with paint. I don't know why it cropped the edge, but trust me, it says orgy.

They probably have no idea.

Hi there. ATS doesn't pick the individual ads that show up on the site. It's all done through an ad service.

I did a search for the ad and it does indeed say orgy and is being used for atleast 3 different games.

You might want to drop a link to this thread on SO's hitlist thread. I think that's the best way for him or admin to see that there is an ad problem. Worst Ads Ever! (SkepticOverlord's Ad Hitlist)

It abosolutely DID say : Click for a Roman Orgy
a few minutes ago.
I was really surprised that ATS would have taken this advert.
However, ATS is a forum for free speech, and first amendment.
So if ATS members want to go to a Roman orgy guess that's their business.
As for me, no one would want this wrinkled old body even protesting the TSA let alone at a orgy.
I'd get arrested like the man in Portland, hummmmm, interesting the handsome young man who did this was not arrested.

You lie. Look at the screenshot you took. It goes further to the right than the advert, proving it was always that width. It also has a little arrow at the top right indicating it is cut off at exactly the right point. The advert is the normal size and width of a typical banner and fits perfectly onto its slot. There's no possible way you saw any more than what is in your picture.

Searched: one click for roman

That's it. Most of the first page of results are other forums with posts complaining about the ad. Link to same ad for a game called "Call of Roma" Also looks like it's being used for a game called Caesary.

Oh, weird, sorry about that. I was convinced you couldn't have seen more than in the first picture. I'm still quite confused about why the two images both seem to have different size font or something. That's super weird, I have no idea why they would look different. Look at the top right corner of both images, they both have the arrow indicating the end of the image. Puzzling.

Scratch that! I think I figured it out.
If you watch the ad for a minute, it changes size. It sort of flashes small and then large. When I took the first pic, it was probably flashing large and cut the edge of the word off.
