Wheelchair-bound 95-year-old veteran Omer Petti and his 85-year-old partner Madge Woodward were treated like terrorists by TSA agents at San Diego International airport, ostensibly so TSA workers could separate them from $300 dollars in cash which subsequently went missing.

"Can you imagine an 85-year-old lady and 95-year-old retired Air Force Major in wheelchairs being treated like terrorists?" Petti asked the Detroit News' Marney Keenan.

I am amazed that all these people still fly. Boycott the airlines til this crap changes!

Since all government operates by theft either openly or as in this case on the sly I'd call it business as usual.
Sad that someone that old who has served his country is treated this way.
He seems very lucid and intelligent and I'm sure he's not making anything up.

Oh, they arent going anywhere, if anything, they are expanding to trains, buses, highway booths etc... Why do you think they chose the name TRANSPORTATION security admin and not Airline or Airport security admin... Its been planned all along to install these thugs into every facet of transportation in the USA.

Several years ago when my dad and I were volunteering to pick up trash on state highways, I was picking up trash under a bridge and came upon a DOT heavy dump truck parked underneath. Two employees were fast asleep as I stood on the truck's running boards watching them. I wish I would have had a camera.

Neither of these two groups of people are better at stealing taxpayer money than Democrat and Republican politicians.

It's like somebody is intentionally recruiting half-tard dropouts to work for the TSA.

It must really suck to be a perfectly normal individual who just needed a job and is now surrounded by mongoloid mutants.

They almost got me 5 years ago, the last time I flew commercial! The Miami airport is so disorganized, the people are rude, the whole thing was chaos, and after spending 2 hours in a line that turned out not to be a line, and people kicking trash cans over and raising hell as they walked off, I said, "See, this is why they blow these places up." That cost me an extra hour or so talking with security, and my wife was in the process of renting us a car to drive back home, since it didn't look like I'd ever be flying again, but they finally released me, and we caught a flight home.

I may be forced to fly if my buddy gets sick in California, but I will only do it as an emergency when there are no other options, and if I do have to fly, I will make sure it is interesting! If I have to fly, I'm wearing a camera, and I'm making it hilarious!

There are a lot of good people without work in the US. Why does the government continue to hire these people that completely lack any common sense and/or morals. I am no brainiac but if I was in the postion to hire new agents, I think I could do a better job at it.

Like I said in the forum post about the boy in the body cast: It's the price of flying. Security procedures dictate anything out of the norm gets checked in addition to random checks. A wheel chair is not a norm when you factor in the number of people that travel without a wheel chair.

Unfortunate about the $300.
