A member of ETA warned Spanish authorities they had planted two bombs on power pylons in separate areas of Spain. Authorities quickly found one in
the province of Guipuzcoa and disarmed it, but are continuing to search for the second, believed to be in Aragon. Spanish authorities fear this is a
new tactic by the ETA to target infrastructure.

Spanish police blew up a bomb placed on a electricity pylon and hunted for another device on Saturday after ETA Basque guerrillas said they had
planted them, in what appeared to be a new tactic to hit power infrastructure.
A caller claiming to represent ETA telephoned a Basque newspaper saying the separatist group had put bombs on two high- tension electricity cable
pylons run by grid operator Red Electrica
, police said.
The caller did not say when the bombs would explode.

Apparently the bombs are targetted to disrupt power flow from France into Spain. A spokesman for Red Electrica, the Spanish power company, stated he
did not think a major disruption would occur if the second bomb exploded before authorities could find and disarm it.
