My dad used to be airline cabin crew for a large airline. On one trip a crazy guy was becoming violent towards other passengers. The crew ended up
hitting the guy over the head with a fire extinguisher until he was knocked out and then tied up with plastic cables. You can't really mess around
when your 36,000 ft up
Perhaps what people like your Dad need on these planes is an Air-Lock about the size of the Lavatory. Problem passengers get locked in one door with a
comfy seat...even a little TV if someone insists. Enough to make them comfy until landing anyway. If they keep acting up...well..there is that outter
door than can be opened. Heck.. make them really behave. Put the button for the outter door right out on the cabin side of the first door. Anyone
sufficiently angry can flush the commode right out the airlock.
