Gallup Shocker: Romney Up Five Over Obama
Breitbart Report

Romney 48%

Obama 43%

It must be the women ?

Gulp

Long way to go, but Obama needs to get his rear in gear.

The Republicans might have more aces up their sleeves than he does.

People are asking what has Obama really done anyway ?

The majority may not be hearing the answers they need to hear.

So, how's that War on Women working out for you?

Row faster, Mainstream Media! Faster!

There are all kinds of polls out there, but except for a single outlier, even in polls that show Obama ahead of Romney, the President is still stuck in the mid-forties -- the last place any incumbent wants to be.

Today, Gallup's daily tracking poll gives the White House and Obama's Media Palace Guards another reason to gulp:

Romney 48%

Obama 43%

More bad news for Obama is that his challenger is already romantically close to that magic 50% number.

The bad news for us is that if these polls continue to show Obama in serious trouble, the media is going to absolutely freak out and start their salting-the-earth crusade early.

Ben Smith and company might have already gotten started with this attack on Ann Romney and the Mormon faith that posted just today.

And it's only April.

The lead will change many times by November, when one of them wins.

And all of us lose.

Gallup Poll [ˈgæləp] n (Government, Politics & Diplomacy) a sampling by the American Institute of Public Opinion or its British counterpart of the views of a representative cross section of the population, used esp as a means of forecasting voting

Public opinion is created.

Public opinion is propagated.

Public opinion is assimilated.

Public opinion is regurgitated.

When the negative ads start to fly and the postive ads educate the public about some of Obama's good points, this poll should reverse. Romney has way too much baggage to be able to overcome his negatives, imnho.

romney has been campaining for months (5 years actually) and has a 5 pt bump on a president with economic problems, international problems and his signature legislation is about to be struck down by the SC as unconstitutional ?

it should be 15 pts, that tells me he's going to lose by 10 pts

once the obama machine gets going after he is formally nominated, he's toast

raise your hand if you want to let this fox guard the chicken coop

Anything is better than what you have right now... Socialism huh? Good luck.

Look to europe as reference when you're about to vote on a socialist.

The fox is actually better to guard the chicken house than the blind def socialist driving that country down - you know the fox will eat some of the chickens, but at least it wont let em all run away leaving the chicken house completely empty.

I dont know... I'm not american, but as an european I tell you: Never ever vote for socialism or anyone with socialist ideals. Its just my personal experience and advice.

Even as an european I miss Bush. Obama hope is ruining that great country and making it on par with all the european economic crisis - Well if its all about equality - good job Obama on lowering your country's standards to match the rest of the world.

The O has good points? Where has he been hiding them? I know, with his BC and all his other relevant records of his past.

Romney will win in 2012, probably 51:49. If you want proof, look at the funding behind Romney and the funding behind Obama. Obama has lost the banks, he will lose the election. Popular vote doesn't matter, the whole thing is fixed.

By the way, I'd prefer Obama over Romney. Why? Because with Obama I know what I'm getting; 4 more years of complacency. With Romney it's a different story, the guy seems thirsty for power and that is a terrible sign of what's to come. Expect war with Iran and a bankrupt America. Can you believe we were once a great nation? I can't...

This isn't a shocker to anyone that is paying attention...this always has been and always will be a very close race.

You picked a poll that reflects what you want reality to reflect...there are polls that have Obama up by as much as 8...not much can be gathered from single polls though. It is now time to start looking at trends.

He is...in their poll.

That is why looking at one single poll is useless and most of the time only used to push an agenda.

Wow...that is one sinister looking man. His eyes always have a glint of greed and dishonesty, but that picture from his youth before he must have learned to put on a facade...wow...that is greed fever. He will do or say anything for more power and money. That is what that face tells me.

Polls are just liberal propaganda!...until one of them shows Romney is up

If you want to see something interesting...look at the Electoral College map, lest we forget that the electoral college decides?

Credible polling comes from Gallup & Rasmussen.

The liberal polls always stack their polls with democrats in order to get their

target number.

It's always a joke on The Five.

Nice poll there Bob. Oh, BTW...how many democrats participated in that poll?

and how many republicans???

Oh! Now it all makes sense.

These polls are going to flip back and forth pretty much until we get to late August and early September. For Obama this election is a no brainer. Romney is far from exciting and has the personality of cardboard. All he has to do is respond to Romney's accusations with facts. Minimize blaming the former administration we all know he walked into a mess, an occasional reminder is ok but you don't want to play on it too much. All that is really needed here is to say this is where we were this is where we are. He is going to have to run ads that cover his attempts to work with Congress only to be snubbed for his efforts. He is going to need to get on the bully pulpit all summer long. Explaining things like healthcare, keystone and all the other little things that come up.

Then in support of the Obama campaign the DNC should be running ads pointing out what all these Republican ran State Legislatures and Governors that were elected in 2010 have been up to in the last two years. Drive home the this is Romney's party and this is what the party agenda is message. Come time for the debates all he has to do is be prepared and able to counter whatever Romney says. The only reason Romney was successful during the primary debates is because he had extremely soft competition, he won't fare well in the Presidential debates.
