I swear, I see it once and I'll be disgusted.

This election year I'm making a conscious decision to not vote. Unfortunately Dr. Paul, although putting up a great fight, will not win the Republican nomination.

Here's a quick summation: TPTB have decided that they will grant President Obama another four year term.
Romney, as rich and easily purchased as he is, will buy the Republican nomination. Dr. Paul, the only politician that should be POTUS, will be denied that privilege by TPTB, in lieu of keeping the American public on its knees and dependent on fossil fuels, balls deep in debt, record-high unemployment, and economic turmoil.

You and your "not going to vote" kind, are the problem.
Vote for Ron Paul or stay off the political threads in the future......you have surrendered your right to complain.
Anyone that doesn't vote loses their legitimacy to bitch.

Help me understand how your comment relates to the one you quoted.

The guy is asking if anyone is excited about Romney. I assume he is excited about Obama.

That simple enough for you?

Bring it.
edit on 16-4-2012 by Germanicus because: (no reason given)

Sure.

My question for you is what about his post implies he supports Obama?

You really need to get beyond this notion that being critical of one candidate necessarily implies support for the opposite.

Do I. Thanks for the advice.

The only other conclusion to draw is Ron Paul. I dont think that is realistic at this point. Do you? No. So the likely conclusion to draw is that he supports Obama. Perhaps I give the poster too much credit. Maybe he has not accepted that Ron Paul is a fantasy at this stage.

I still dont get how you think pointing out that Romney cant win because support from within his own party is weak , is support for Obama.

But I get that some RonPaul supporters just post RON PAUL!! on threads instead of actually paying attention to the topic of conversation.

What is the guys motivation to comment if not to give it to Republicans. Is he one of these weirdo's that say's "Im not voting" ?

And I thought the thrust if his comment was to say he got the nomination because the other candidates were idiots.

But to be honest I could care less. He is just a tee for me to hit from. As are you. My comments do actually mean something. I think Obama should be voted out. he would lie to your Grandmothers face. He has failed. He fooled you all. If Obama wins again America deserves everything it gets.

Edit-Also,Ron Paul is a Republican. I know he isnt a real Republican and just uses the party for his own advantage but he is a Republican. So the poster just called Ron Paul an idiot. The only conclusion to draw is that he is pro-Obama. Which is very sad and worrisome in my opinion. When will you American's learn?

Since Ron Paul won't be getting the Republican nomination, then I will be voting for the clown who I think is the most inept, corrupt, and likeliest to bring this entire system down in flames the soonest.

It's not going to be a tough decision, just have to follow the money trail. The beast is mortally wounded, the only question now is how long it forces us to suffer along with it.

Yes, yes. Obamas a big stupid face.

But its true that Romney is meant to fail. Its his job. He is not meant to win. As far as Paul, he has all but given up even pretending he has a chance. Do not get mad at me for pointing this out. Santorum! has a better chance of winning than Paul. Think about that.

Did I not say Ron Paul is a fantasy. Can you read?

And I could not disagree more.

A Romney/Ryan ticket looks great. They will have massive appeal.

Paul Ryan is awesome. He is the only guy out there trying to balance the budget.
Obama has not passed a budget since he took office. He has tried but his own party voted it down.

Romneys job is not to fail. Not everything is a conspiracy you know.

I wonder where in the constitution does it say that either a democrat or republican must win every timeconsidering there are so many parties that unfortunately never receive the necessary funds due to massive ignorance of the population and a bought-out elitist media????

Please help me figure this out: socialist party, communist party, libertarian party, constitution party, green party and perhaps a few others I can't recall. Combined they normally get less than 1% of the vote.

And then people wonder why politicians have so much contempt and antipathy for the american voter that they can't look him/her in the eye for a split second to tell him a single truth! I think america deserves what it gets.............

www.americanselect.org...

This is the non-partisan option. I have been trying to get people to look at it. If you dont want Romney or Obama this needs your support.

-Its also a fantasy, but if enough can get behind it you never know.

Why don't you vote for god-damm libertarian party

Even if they lose, which they will, at least you will have voted your conscious.

Now multiply this by X times and we have real change.

Because I'm not a libertarian, I don't subscribe to labels. I disagree with Ron Paul on a number of issues, but he says many things that need to be said.

What we have in Romney and Obama are 'herd' politicians, they speak in platitudes and appeal to the greater masses..the masses who understand the difference in menus at Mcdonalds and Burger king far better than they understand the problems that face our country.

The establishment preys on those who have 'beliefs.' They know who you are, they know how they can manipulate you. The more rigid you are, the more they can control you. And if you think any kind of change is coming to the White House via this election, well it won't be a difference in Romney's or Obama's station in life...it will be yours, as you discover the changes in shifts at Mcdonalds and Burger King and how it affects what time you set your alarm.

Only falsehoods require belief

This is simply sabre rattling

The GOP won't win this election for 3 main reasons:

1) They won't get the Latino votes. That demographic has been increasing a LOT since the last election. If you do the math and assume that 80% of Latinos vote Democrat (not far off historically!), the GOP can't win.

2) They can't get the women votes with all the anti-women legislation they're trying to push through. Ryan just pushed through a law against equal pay and they want to take away women's reproductive and workplace rights. Without that chunk of women voters they don't stand a chance...and I can't see how they can cover up all their anti-women legislation until the end of the election...

3) They ran their entire primary campaign on appeasing the radical elements of their base. That demographic is a tiny minority, but a VERY loud minority...but they don't represent the majority of Americans, which would be needed to win the election. I don't see how they can justify the things they said during primaries in front of the general population.

Any of those 3 points on its own prevent the GOP from winning if you check the numbers, but they're facing ALL three of those points at once...which is why I would bet any amount of money on Obama this election. In fact, I already have $12k riding on him...not because I think he's great, but because the GOP candidates are such a joke they dont' stand a chance.

Do you really think the guy who made his career on FIRING PEOPLE and BREAKING UP COMPANIES stands a chance in the current climate of unemployment? Really? He's everything people hate right now, a BOUGHT SOCK PUPPET

Romney said hit the bricks because Obama's one snowball in hell has melted.

93% of lost jobs on Obama's watch were women.

And Obama flooded the banks with trillions instead of propping up the businesses that lost those women.

Obama's toast.History.

Wishful, partisan thinking.

Obama and Romney are two sides of the same coins. The Dems and Reps are two sides of the same coin. Romney wont win because his base loathes him, and he couldn't even win in the South or Midwest. He s being set up to fail, so they can 'blame' for another four years, just like the Dems did with Kerry in 4. If the GOP loses in 2012, they know they will win BIG TIME in 2016, which is the long-term goal. LEt Obama continue to take the blame for a terrible economy. Then swoop in in 2016 and 'save the day' the same way the Dems pretended they would do in 08.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

To see ANYONE championing Romney on ATS is HILARIOUS. You might as well just hand in your conspiracy card, cuz Romney is no different than Obama

Romney made some good points:

“Obviously we have a very different view. The president, I’m sure, wants another four years, but the first years didn’t go so well,” Romney said, citing anemic job growth, a slow emergence from recession and mountains of debt.

“He has guided America in the wrong direction, and it’s time for us to return to the principles of freedom and opportunity that got this nation where it is today.”

A choice between...

“ job growth.....emergence from recession ".

VS

“......return to the principles .........that got this nation where it is today.”

There was at least a nugget of truth in Romney's statement.

Bush remix vs. economic growth and progress.
