Well my friends it looks like North Korea's new young leader is not some type
idiot after all.

If I'm reading this news article on Google properly, he is looking to
UNIFY the Korea's.

Link

This is staggering and hugely welcome news , and real.. here's some of his speech!

In a clear indication of power consolidation by a third generation Kim, the crowd repeatedly chanted the name of Kim Jong Un. Shortly before the formal parade began, marking 100 years since the birth of the late Kim Il Sung, the new leader made his first public speech, carried live on North Korean television. Kim sent greetings to "compatriots in South Korea and across the world who dedicate themselves to reunification and prosperity of the nation." Kim also said he is heartbroken that the Korean peninsula has remained divided for decades. Kim, slightly swaying throughout his 20-minute speech, continuously looked down at his text but paused frequently for bursts of applause.

would be an interesting step of events... considering that the end all be all political-socio-economic system that has been desired for so long.. by the rulers of the world.. would be a precise synthesis of the BEST ASPECTS of communism, socialism, and capitalism all wrapped in one brand new experiment...

what a perfect place to perform the initial testing grounds.. a once solid nation.. divided by political-economic ideology.. now re-fused after decades of experimentation in the extremes of each other's systems...

We will see.... Those of us to remember the unification of Germany, will note that the political
rhetoric was of a similar nature just prior to the Berlin wall coming down.

History repeats..

I think once the people way up just exactly what young Kim is going to do the unification
will take on a life of it's own...

Watch this space I suppose, but I'm hopeful of a bright and new future for the people of North Korea.

They deserve it

Thanks for posting.

There has been alot of anti-American sentiment in South Korea of late. Protest's against America's Imperial policies in the region. Dont be so sure this is him being friendly to the West. I think its more likely a speech to appeal to the South and soften tension's. A united Korea could expel the Imperial American's. I hope that happen's for the poor Korean's. They have all been exploited by America for far too long.

North Korea's closest allies are nuclear superpowers,

RUSSIA and China.

they can pull reunification off as its their backyard, their new leader, and their fellows.

i dont see why USA is so opinionated about bossing/dominating around asians and the world for the matter.

Asians will always be more efficient.

The source provided does nothing whatsoever to relieve him of his "Idiotic" status in any way, shape or form. The man is a terrorist. No mincing words. A weak and cowardly little man.

To say otherwise is propaganda and supporting a known terrorist!

Reunification of the 2 koreas can't happen suddenly or it'll descend into a bloodbath when the starving folks in the north see how their southern brethren really live. See the reality of their workers paradise.

what about the million man army? Where are they going to be employed? Anarchy would reign supreme.

The only way for North Korea to unify with the south is to pull the same trick as China first as an intermediate step. If 'son of little Kim' wants to work with China down that path its probably a good thing. Time will tell.

Korea unified under the dictator baby kim?

And allow South Koreans and resources be laid to waste by his cronies' mismagement, corruption and theft, as well as the boosting of funds to show off like kids at playground to prove who' s got the bigger ones?

Aint gonna happen.

Even if South Korea wants it and US is willing to help free the north korean slaves. Big brother China CCP aint gonna let it happen, as long as the tyrants there rule and the chinese People does not gain freedom. The tyrants there want to keep Korea as a buffer, a backyard, a zone where hostilities, destruction and death occurs there than on the mainland China. Korean lives, both North and South, means not a cent to the brutal self serving corrupt CCP gov.

Agree that China wants NK as a buffer but its by no means certain they want it to be as 'full retard' as it is. An economically stable client state would suit them better.

What China really wants is the US to leave the south and that can't happen while NK is a basket case.

This has been North Korea's policy since before Kim Jong Un was born. It's one of their standard propaganda lines.

I was thinking the same thing about American Forces being buffered by North Korea, but ... where there is a will there is usually a way of coming to an agreement about how these things get done.

Quite simply The Chinese and American forces would agree to a certain parallel being off limits to either
forces.

I can see it working easily if there is a will.

If not the people of North Korea will one day soon more than likely Unify on their terms.
Needs must and all that.

The tyrannical CCP gov suffers from a democracy paranoia. No matter what the democratic state of South Korea does, even to kicking out and denial of bases or nukes to USA, that CCP dictatorship will NEVER trust S.Korea, for it lays in China's backyard.

Even current soveriegn states in Asia are bullied by them, over mineral resources that do not even lay within their coasts, under the atrocious if not insanse claims that the entire south china seas belongs to china!

The only way for re-unification of the 2 koreas is when the tyrants of the corrupt CCP gov are thoroughly booted out, and a free democracy that respects human rights and responsibilities is voted in, and the destruction or surrender of baby kim with his cronies.
