I am not gonna say much but it is a tornado day here in the us, and i think after its all over we will have a record for tornados for April this week alone. Oklahoma is getting hit hard right now.

2011 in april was the last time the record was broken i think about 956. beating the old number of 245.

All i really wanted to say i hope everyone stay safe out there.

okla

today

another

plenty more.

I know weather channel has nebraska, okla, kansas and otheres in a torc 9.

That live coverage is pretty cool.

Thanks for the links.

A possible tornado struck a hospital Saturday evening in Creston, Iowa, according to a dispatcher with the Union County Sheriff's Department. A search-and-rescue operation was under way.

"We have been hit. We are triaging and moving patients," a spokeswoman at Greater Regional Medical Center in the south-central Iowa city confirmed.

The development came as a series of tornadoes and supercell thunderstorms churned Saturday evening toward larger cities in the southern and central Plains. Storm chasers broadcast images of funnel clouds roaring through rural landscapes.

Residents in some areas received new warnings intended to grab their attention and prompt them to find safe shelter.

In Kansas, Gov. Sam Brownback issued this advisory: "If you're on the road, get off as soon as you can and find some shelter."

The region had 48 preliminary tornado reports by 8:30 p.m.

I cannot imagine anything scarier than a massive tornado at night.

Yeah, those are my worst fears, rather see it during the day so I know when it's coming rather then at night where you have to sit there and guess. Those are the scariest.

Im glad I live in the Rockies. All we have to worry about are the avalanches and ski season. lol
Everyone stay safe, make sure you have an emergency bag packed with food, water, radio, and medical supplies. Lotta weird things going on with tornados in the last two months. Get IPhone weather alerts, whatever you have to do to get early warning and be prepared. Its best to be ready, because ya just don't know.

I lived near I-35 in and north of Dallas for 44 years and remember a number of years that had as much or more damage from tornadoes as there has been this spring.... More people have video cameras or cell phones now than ever before and weather radar has become more and more sophisticated.... It makes for good ratings for TV stations that have the most coverage of the storms, damage, and interviews with witnesses and survivors...
