Secret Service Agents Sent Home From Presidential Trip for Alleged Misconduct

abcnews.go.com
U.S. Secret Service agents were sent home from President Obama’s trip to Colombia because of allegations of misconduct, apparently involving prostitution.

While the Secret Service would not confirm the number of agents involved, the allegations make this an acutely embarrassing incident for the elite security around a president.

I haven't seen this posted yet, and I've searched with different title variations. If there is already a post on this, I apologize.

I have a thread about the Summit of the Americas going on there in Cartagena in general but you beat me to the bad-boy SS team being sent home - which I only have a later posting mentioning the incident. Nice catch.

Isn't this the kind of thing going on with Kennedy's Secret Service team that night before in Dallas? Perhaps a tragedy narrowly averted for Obama?? Bombs going off in the country at that time too:

www.news.com.au...
News of the alleged misconduct emerged as two small bombs exploded in Cartagena this morning. No injuries were reported from the explosions, which occurred around 8pm Friday local time, newspaper El Tiempo reported.

Two small bombs also exploded in the country's capital, Bogota, this morning -- near the US Embassy and the country's high court and attorney general's office. No one was injured.

Secret service aren't really representatives. More like gorillas in khaki suits that follow potus around with guns.
