That's right: there's no such thing as black magic or wicked daemonic forces.

Poor innocent witches; Freemasons and their Jewish masters are actually just a misunderstood lot and persecuted for no reason at all by those evil, superstitious, ignorant Christians.

The tares among the wheat: And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God."
Luke 16:15

I think that one of the following is true about the God of the old testament:

1. Bi-polar or other mental problems
2. There is more than one, and we were mislead into believing in only one.

Ryan, from some of your other posts I've seen, I am not all that surprised to hear you suggest that liberals are smarter than conservatives. And here, just yesterday I was thinking that it is only the radical liberals who insist that we all should drive Prius hybrids and want us all to pay a global tax to support their insane Co2 theories. I'm giving a pass to those more interesting and open liberals who just think that raw milk goat cheese is a hot item to push(from a movie I saw last night actually where the liberal single preggie women were beating drums in a home birth with a makeshift swimming pool, and of course it was a comedy too). But the reality is that true Totalitarian socialists are the ones who insist that raids should be made on people who drink raw unpasteurized milk.

It really puzzles me, how intolerably cruel the churches are that supposedly follow Jesus Christ's teachings. With so many variations of the bible and holy scriptures, to take a few verses out so literally as to justify Murdering your fellow human being is so unconscionable to me.....it seems downright satanic what they've done, in what book and in what authority does it say that it's okay to murder anyone who is not a "christian" or a roman catholic fundamentalist? Where the # does it justify their sickness, THEIR satanic "witchcraft"?! I'm sorry, this letter just made me so sad. I am so grateful that i have never been, and probably will never be subjected to this kind of insanity.

Spot on!
This is easily identified as being satanic in it's very nature and used today to denigrate the prince of Peace. These people by definition are not disciples of Yashayah.
I smell Jesuit influence from the outset. Religion by it's very nature becomes satanic the longer it exists. The definiton of religion is to help those that has no ability to repay you, like widows and orphans. His words not mine.
This is the same m.o. of what the Bolsheviks did to Christians when they deposed the monarchs and cleansed the land.
We will know them by their fruit

The whole of history is like walking through an insane asylum. In the future they will be talking about our current insanities, all the while they forget themselves and there insanities.

Nothing new there, and there seems to be very few exceptions to the rule, but mostly because the exceptions do not get written down as often.

"In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations, and epochs it is the rule."... Nietzsche

Oh really now. Please tell me what study you pulled this statistic from...or maybe don't...

So now conservative Christians are radical...sounds like a left leaning rant to me. Is the belief structure of Democrat Christians that far from that of right leaning Republicans? Perhaps... in that Democrat Christians may be more likely to subscribe to "Christian socialism" because they are comfortable with the socialist welfare structure of the federal government.
Fake your way out of that one.

It was in Bamberg, Germany.

Wiki starts off with:

Johannes Junius (1573 – August 6, 1628) was the mayor (German: Bürgermeister) of Bamberg, and a victim of the Bamberg witch trials, who wrote a letter to his daughter from jail while he awaited execution for witchcraft. [1]

And thank you for pointing out by example that there is exceptions to every rule.

If I claim to be an intellectual but cannot read or comprehend what I read, do you believe me?

If you claim these are works of Christians yet use satanic examples, are you to be believed?

According to those two pages I linked to, Bamberg was an 'episcopal' city and therefore 'priest' would have been correct.

And the wiki page says

In the letter he defends his innocence, claims that those who testified against him have secretly begged his forgiveness, and recounts the abject horror of his torture (inflicted upon him by his brother-in-law and three others), from which his hands still shake at the time of writing the letter.

There were evidently 5 mayors done away with in similar fashion, it seems, before Johannes Junius had his turn...following his own wife's accusation and execution, as well!
It might have been a little political, perhaps?

I'm reading right now about The Bamberg Witch Trials at Wiki...

When Joan of Arc was going through her ordeal...it was at the hands of the heads of the church she adored and remained loyal to in her heart...and she still asked for a priest...it makes sense that trust is not so easily broken for all because of a few...in those days when the church was such a big thing in everyone's life, just about...they had none other to turn to! Even if they were being attacked by the left hand...they sought to maintain their hold on the right hand.

If that makes sense.

Okay, just to clarify about THIS incident in Bamberg...from here:

Contemporary with the Würzburg Witch Trials and others in South Germany, the Bamberg Witch Trials was one of the largest of the period, with between 300 and 600 executions. Some of the trials and torture sessions (such as that of the wealthy local landowner Johannes Junius, for example) were recorded in sickening detail.

Bamberg at the time was a small state ruled by the Prince-Bishop Gottfried Johann Georg II Fuchs von Dornheim. The area had been devasted for years by war and conflicts within the Holy Roman Empire, as well as a series of crop failures, famines and plagues. Rather than blaming the politicians, people looked for supernatural explanations, and accusations of witchcraft proliferated.

Taking advantage of this, Dornheim oversaw the establishment of a network of informers. Accusations were not made public, and the accused were denied any legal rights. Dornheim was also responsible for establishing an operation of full-time torturers and executioners, and for building the notorious Drudenhaus (or Trudenhaus, or witch prison) in Bamberg in 1627 to house the special torture chambers.

Torture was routinely applied to those accused, and the victims were subjected to thumbscrews and vises, ice-cold baths and scalding lime baths. They were whipped, burned with sulphur, put in iron-spiked stocks and subjected to other forms torture. Children as young as 6 months old were tortured and killed. Even after condemnation, the physical abuse continued, and prisoners had their hands cut off as they were led to the stake.

Many rich and powerful people of the area fell victim to the frenzy of accusations, and had their property and assets confiscated, which made Dornheim and his officers extremely rich. Anyone who questioned what was happening was also arrested and subjected to the same treatment. Finally, after compaints by several influential persons (although, in reality, largely due to the fact that business in the region was suffering), the Emperor Ferdinand was forced to issue mandates opposing the persecution in 1630 and 1631. Dornheim died in 1632, and the sorry episode drew to a close.

Sounds much more political than religious, at least in the sense that it wasn't the RCC or any other church but actually the head of state going under the title of 'Prince-Bishop'...and it was provoked by the desperation that the fear of both war and especially hunger and famine inevitably put into the hearts and minds of people in those times...

It says that the politicians weren't blamed but that the people looked to the supernatural...but that seems to me to indicate a very clever diversionary tactic employed by the Prince-Bishop...who was an individual force in this case rather than an institutional one.

But in the end...the true culprit is FEAR...the usual suspect is always the source of such things.

Sounds like the Puritans. Have you guys ever seen the movie, "The Crucibles?" it's a movie about the the witch trials in Salem. I reccommend it. It's a good movie.
if I were to live back then, I'd just lie and say I was a witch or even better run away. I'm just glad I'm not a religious fanatic or in this case religious lol.

I believe you should drive a car that meets your needs, not necessarily your wants (ego)

I love goat cheese, wanna share?

I grew up drinking unpasteurized goats milk from my dad's friend's farm, often it had not even been through the chiller yet. Still love it till this day, but hard to come by.

You quoted out of context, not surprised.

Here it is for you again :

Most radical "Christians" tend to be far right, mainly because of their belief structure, and dare I say, level of intelligence. This does not mean all people that have a far right political stripe are radical "Christians" or all radical "Christians" are far right, but many are.

There are many principles in "Christian Socialism" that I do not support or subscribe to. If you are a "real" Christian, then some socialist principles are inherent in your faith, they must be, or you are not a real Christian.

You do wonderful job of beating around the bush, rather than just yelling "Oh my God, The commies are coming, THE COMMIES ARE COMING!, ...........won't someone think of the children"

Don't worry, some of us see through you little jabs for the paranoid person you are.

Both of his titles suggest his power came from institutional forces.

He didn't make himself a prince.
He didn't make himself a bishop.

The established institutions did.

Lacking any evidence either way, I would have to believe you. If I met you, or was presented with evidence that showed otherwise, I would know I was lied to.

If I claim to be an intellectual but cannot read or comprehend what I read, do you believe me?

Again, if I had no eveidence to suggest otherwise, I would have to believe you.

If I claim to be a Christian yet do the works of satan, do you believe me?

Again, barring evidence to suggest otherwise, I would have to believe you.

What "satanic examples" are you referring to exactly? I would need to actually use "satanic examples" for your little game to work.
