Have you ever dug deep into the Bible?

Have you ever intently studied it with a Hebrew and Greek lexicon nearby?

I'm not attacking you, I just don't want you to dismiss the Bible as phony if you haven't thoroughly researched it,

Also, how do you believe that you know the name Jesus Christ? Do you know how Christianity started, why it started, how the gospel got spread, etc?

Have you ever thoroughly read the book of Acts?

Have you thoroughly read the Gospels? They are chalk FULL of Jesus, not just a couple flimsy parables here and there, literally packed with wisdom and Jesus's personal sayings and teachings, and His story and support for His Lordship....

EDIT: Sorry for sidetracking thread somewhat,
I just feel compelled to ask these questions to someone who "believes" in Christ but not the Holy Bible (the entire reason we even know the name Jesus Christ)....

it's sorta like saying you believe Christopher Columbus really did sail the ocean blue in 1492, but that you are unsure if the Nina, Pinta, or sante maria really existed, and are unsure of the historical records being accurate,

it just doesn't add up or make sense to someone who is well versed and well studied in Biblical authenticity and Christian history / theology

very sexual agnostic searcher

I love sex, I cannot see how any kind of sex between two consenting adults could ever be bad. I am actually married, have been for 7 years on the 22nd of this month. We love sex, we even have interests in sex with other couples, or having another girl or guy join in sometimes. I would like to believe that there is something out there, I just don't like what most religious documents get at. I try to learn as much as I can about world religions but am also extremely interested in science and the world around me so I usually can't accept religious opinions that discredit scientific facts or strong scientific theories that have more evidence to support their possibility than the religion attempting to discredit them does. I can't comprehend why there can't be some kind of possible higher power that can coexist with scientific facts. I try to live life as a good person treating others in the way that I would like to be treated and hope that doing so does pay off when my time here is over. I do however, find it difficult to believe in something without proof, and strongly hope that if here is something else out there, that everyone who has been a good person can get to experience a wonderful afterlife.
