How To Be A Famous Celebrity - In Just 4 Minutes!!

Just caught this video today and thought it was amazingly brilliant!



Here is a brief description from the guys who created it:

Thomas Elliot is a “famous” dude who has Virginia shoppers going nuts over him — for doing nothing at all. Along with his team at Chill Hill Media, Elliot (whose name is actually Thomas Cramer — his middle name is Elliot) entered MacArthur Center Mall in Norfolk, Virginia with the intention to trick everyone into believing he was a celebrity. According to Cramer, it only took four minutes to do so.

The creators of this stunt were just having some harmless fun but I think its a great social experiment. This really illustrates the herd mentality of people, I guess we know where the term "Sheeple" comes from now!

They had to do nothing, say nothing, to have these kids freaking out over someone they had never seen....all because he might be "famous"...

Wow...really interesting. Think I might have to try this out soon!

Very interesting. You are also very quite right about where the term Sheeple comes from and this video just really proves just how gullible people really are.

Most people have been conditioned to be docile sheep.

Just put someone in front of them who fulfills certain criteria and you trigger this reaction.

This is not limited to celebrities but valid for leader figures in general.

Here's a nice video I found a while back, can't remember where that demonstrates this type of social behaviour quite impressively.

That was hilarious.
I bet the people involved felt really stupid after seeing this video.

The Mall security looked pretty dumb as well.

try this some times its pretty fun, you need at least 2 or 3 people but the more you have the better and faster it works.

All you do is go to a very crowed place in a city with some tall buildings and look up. Thats it. Just get who ever you are with to do the same and occasionally point up. After a few minutes theres a huge crowd of people looking up at absolutely nothing, then you slip away into a cafe near by and see how long the crowd stays there
