Gulf cash to Sunnis in Iraq buys flood of weapons to Syrian rebels

The story says Gulf Arab sheiks are funding weapons smuggling into Syria via Iraq,
and the Sunnis are forefront suppliers.

There is an effort to open an Eastern front in Syria, according to "Diplomats and officials".

Apparently this is from Iraqi sources.

The Sunnis are a minority in Iraq.

Some people might think this may be an Israeli planted story, but probably not.

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Sunni majority has become a leading contributor to
the revolt in neighboring Syria.

Diplomats and officials agreed that Sunni tribal leaders were helping
organize a massive flow of weapons and fighters from Iraq to Syria. They
said the flow stemmed from several Iraqi cities, including Qaim in the west
and Mosul in the north.

“There is money pouring in from Gulf Arab sheiks for this effort and weapons in Iraq are easy to obtain,” a diplomat said.

And,

Al Qaida in Iraq has also joined the Sunni revolt. The diplomats said Al
Qaida networks in such provinces as Anbar, Diyala and Saleh Eddin were
recruiting fighters to attack the Assad regime.

“We have intelligence information that Iraqi jihadists have gone to
Syria,” Iraqi Deputy Interior Minister Adnan Assadi said.

This is only going to get worse. Jihad on Assad (no pun intended). Safe to say he is on his way out the door...in a casket. Sunni's will get control of Syria, Assad's regime is Shi'ite. This means the muslim brotherhood will end up getting control of Syria just like they did Egypt and Israel is getting boxed in by the Muslim Brotherhood on all sides...again. We're looking at another potential revisit to the Six Day War.

This is going to get ugly quick. Probably be a good time for the jews to say "to hell with the wakf" and storm the temple mount and retake it. I don't get how the same people who had the cojones to stand up to Rome rolls over for the wakf.
