People need to remember why we eat. Even my kids know to think about something before they put it in their mouth. We eat primarily for sustenance.
If you are putting something inside of you, it should serve a purpose. If it is only for pleasure, be sure you are putting it in the right place!
Seriously, too many people eat out of boredom, comfort, convenience, or just habit. Too many people pop just anything into their mouths, without
having given it any thought as to why they did it.
5 weeks ago I cut out all white sugar and white flour. I occasionally use some Tupelo Honey, or I might eat a banana or an apple, but little sugars,
no processed sugars, no processed flours. I drink mostly water, with an occasional black coffee or bitter tea.
In 5 weeks, I have lost 15 pounds, I am sleeping much better at night, waking up refreshed, and having more energy throughout the day. It was a
little weird at first, but now it is effortless. I don't eat something, unless I know the content of it. I am striving for a 40/40/20 % mix of my
protein/carb/fat calories, and making sure none of the carbs are simple carbs. Any meat I eat must be fresh, no processed or prepackaged pink
Honestly, I can't believe anyone still drinks cokes, or eats frozen mcmeats. Anyone that reads ATS should be afraid to shop at a bigbox grocery
store. You can't trust anything these days.
