It's not a fossil.

It's an agate nodule. The material trade name is Butterfly Jasper.




I'm sorry if the link doesn't work. My company's internet blocks photobucket.


ETA - There are many types of agate that are sold under misleading trade names and are inaccurately labeled as Jasper
