So is this a prank?

Some guy claimed to have done the same thing for the "Phoenix Lights".

Seems odd that they would form geometric patterns if they are road flares attached to balloons just floating in the wind.

Most likely a prank as suggested.

Even if this turns out to be Unknown, it's not going to help anything. "Lights in the sky" of similar appearance to these don't prove anything, and certainly aren't evidence of alien visitation.

I missed the thread last night apparently...but I'd say the fact Homeland Security is on the case pretty well confirms this is no UFO. I don't think anyone at DHS right up to Janet....perhaps ESPECIALLY Janet...have security clearances high enough to even land at a place like Area 51. They sure wouldn't have the clearance to investigate something that falls into that area of Government.

I caught some stuff on video a few weeks ago.

I am pretty sure they were just balloons though.
