why are so many jumping on a everythings racist train!?

okay this could get removed as im gonna be walking a fine line, but this racism crap everyone hypes about is extremely ****ed. I truely worry when i see people throwing the words racist and biggot aorund, especially in the manner people use it. They actually say it as though there something special or better than other people. :")
The area i work has a lot of foriegn 'residents', i work in a shop, so often serve eastern european customers and middle eastern people. And i get tret like absolute crap by a majority of them. But thankfully there are some very nice people of all races who i will happily chat to and am comfortable with because you can sense they have respect for me. so there you cant say im racist or a biggot.
so now i'm immune to any accusation of being racist. i'll continue and ask why people allow them selves to lose so much ground ( rights) because they call everything racist.
The race war that has recently become mainstream because everyones jumping back on the bandwagon isn't caused by african's,indians, or whichever race is the apparent 'victim' its being lead by white people against themselves!

Absolutely! i find myself in a very diverse workplace and all of this recent hysteria has been nothing more than a joke between all of us.

Has all this mess actually caused discord in any of your personal every-day interactions? Or is it All in thinking of ourselves as big, artificially separated, groups?

well some would have us thinking we're anti-anything not white lol But i've never had a racial issue at work or college with anyone of any race dispite being open about it and yeh throwing around religous or pigment related banter. cos thats alll it is, banter! people just dont get the difference

What I find interesting is the code words used because racists can't say what they mean in public, outside of the south mostly. There's one politician that is called the n-word constantly in public using a code word. You can tell it's a code word for n!@@3r because they use it wrong in context and definition almost every time. If the word is used correctly by these racists it would be out dated and useless as a scare tactic because it really is ineffectual as an attack but they use it to get a reaction. The word is SOCIALIST! How many times have you heard that word used in the wrong context or where it doesn't belong? Or better yet used as "it might not seem like it now by his actions but I know what will happen in the future"!

You're right, there is a fine line and I think you understand which is the right side. People will probably know me on here as pro-multiculturalist and anti-racist. I do see a lot of it on a daily basis but even in my own life, there are certain groups that I respect less and tolerate less not because of where they are from but how they disrespect me and people of cultures different from their own. The ironic thing is, these are people that aren't native to this country. There are people who would see this incorrectly as racist.

i agree but the conspiracies are just full of the ignorant and trolls who post for attention. usually i won't even bother to post on a conspiracy thread because it just turns into childish arguements.

There are still a lot of racists about, and that's why it's still an issue.

Even on ATS you can see them - the sad part is I really think most of them believe they're not racist. People are EXPERTS at justification and minimization when it comes to their own actions.

I think what I'm saying is that a lot of people are still very racist and don't even realize it. They've built mechanisms to defend themselves from their own reality. Instead of tell themselves "I hate all people of this race" they find statistics and social reasons to stereotype that group. They then claim they don't hate the color, just the stereotype, but you can see they paint all people of that color with the same brush..

This is just a little example, there are other ways people hide their own racism from themselves.


If someone is racist it should be pointed out. Racism is a relic of the past. Racism is unnatural, people who aren't exposed to racism can grow up with people of different colors and never have a problem related to race - so race is nurture, not nature, which means it propagates itself by word of mouth, not in any organic or natural way.

Racism in the USA was established in revolutionary times to create a "buffer" between the rich white man and the poor white man. It's managed to stick around and evolve into it's present state today. People are too ignorant to realize that racism was created and nurtured and developed as a control mechanism against them. Make the poor people fight the other poor people, and they'll be too busy to realize that we're stealing from them on every front.

So people, stop being controlled. There is only one race, the human race. The differences between you and the insanely wealthy are FAR greater than the difference between the average white guy and the average black guy.

It has all become ridiculous!

The government uses the mainstream media to distract the public from more important issues, and in the process causes peer induced divisiveness amongst the people.

A normal case is hyper-sensationalized by the media. People try to peer-induce each other to take sides (i.e. if you are not outraged and calling others racist then you obviously must be a racist). Next thing you know you have people taking sides and calling "race war". In the meantime the bad guys are sneaking Lord knows what through the congress and senate, and nobody notices because they are too busy calling each other racists!

When will the people wake up and smell the bacon?

Why? Because it is a Red Herring. Because it changes the argument. Most people are horrified at the thought of being caused a racist. When person "A" is making an unbreakable argument and making person "B" look like a fool because person "B" cannot articulate a rational counterpoint, person "B" will cry racism, or some other *ism, with the goal of putting person "A" on the defensive, thereby changing the argument. The trick to defeating this decades old progressive tactic is to NOT defend yourself against it if called a racist. Laugh it off and keep on making your argument.

Because it's fun and entertaining to see people in anger and pain and have a meltdown.

And it wasn't a problem until the media got a hold of it.

I also blame them for the Rodney king riots too.

No, this is all the media's doing so they can sell papers and change the world. You can't change the world if there's no problem, so you have got to create a problem. That's what the media did.

And Black Panthers stupidly fell for it.

But now I suppose I'm a hater because I dared criticize a minority.

After all, according to liberals you can't criticize people's behavior that they support without being called a hater or a phobe of some sort.

Just let it play out, hopefully a race war will start. Then all the idiots of every race will kill each other so the rest of us can get on with our lives.

Racists exist only because they believe there are different 'races' of humans.

Racists like the notion of seperate races because then they have a reason to discriminate and disassociate.

Ignorance is bliss and that kind of bliss is why "so many jump on the everything's racist train".

Honestly, this has been my opinion about the issue for quite some time. We unfortunately live in a 'blame game' society. The sheeple of America find it much easier rather than analyzing a situation involving a possible 'racial' motive, that it's just effortless to blame 'racism' for it and call the offending party a bigot. Once public opinion is swayed so far as for people to start picking up a race war over it, it's like a train that's started running off the tracks. Take Zimmerman for the latest example, for all we know he could have been an anxiety riddled mess and likely was, it's a tragedy that someone had to lose their life, but within hours of it hitting the news, 'he pursued and shot him because he was black' became the general public consensus. It's like starting a wildfire, and yes I quite agree with you, it is quite f***ed.

What makes my stomach turn is people like the 'great' Reverend Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton throwing the race card out left and right and instigating more hate, and more negative vibes because they're going to make a buck pissing people off with their instigative comments, because people want to know what they have to say about 'THAT' , whatever the next 'that' may be. These two men recently tried to line their pockets with the death of another person by getting paid to open their malicious mouths about it, I say malicious because their sheer intent seemed to be to cause racial divide and chaos for a little bit more fame. It looks like they both sold their own race out to make a buck by inviting it to rage, isn't that propogating racism in itself? Rather than break the cycle they'd rather fuel it, because it's easier than finding a real explanation.

If people actually took the time to look at a situation, look at how these people think and act before throwing the bigot or racist card out there, maybe we'd actually make some progress instead of degenerating into a fear and hate filled society. /endrant.

Makes me feel that all the people who say the racism boom is just a distraction from other problems are spot on! Im not sure if they ever got the body of goebels cos this would be the same kinda propaganda and enlightenment bull he filled germany with, and the gersheep followed. Oh no problem at all, I'll be checking in on the thread in a few hours, just got home from campus. However, I've been fighting with an ulcer again (Had them chronically for years) and it's worn me down since...almost ten hours ago when I woke up.
