Congratulations maryabong, you managed to attract all mods to coast by your thread. How does it feel to have that much attention ?

Internet communities are not a good place for democracy, mob rule, etc. Hell, the election system isn't even working out all that great for the "free" nations for that matter.

I seem to recall that a majority of the most corrupt and violent dictators in history have won multiple elections by landslides...

I think we should be able to vote mods out of office once a year.

MODS have offices....

Next you'll be telling me they have water coolers and cupcakes on Mondays......:

Actually was wishing for delete your tread option right after I posted this. (facepalm). Although judging by the flags maybe people have real issues with mods I dont know.

I hesitate to post here...

Well, big company GE does this thing. They give everyone an annual eval. Then, they determine the top 10 % and the bottom 10%. The top 10% get a bonus. The bottom 10% get fired.

A way of naturally removing the dead wood.

Maybe we could fill out a fill in the blank "rate your experience with our moderator form" and they could be combined at some point to create an annual evaluation.

Anyone want to take a stab at making a prototype form or some survey questions.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much does your mod __________________-

Uh huh...filled with vodka...to give the appearance of water!

Nobody asks about the weekends...because you all gather for the moderator elite club!

I vote we don't get to vote on anything that is moderator business!

Mayabong....look...ill be honest, i have several way's to conduct a full scale cyber war if needed, but hey, you managed to get a 2004 mod to comment in your thread....well sorry bud...this is one battle i fear i will need to take a back seat on.

c.a. strolls casually across the forum floor and frantically presses the ground level elevator button while swinging his neck left to right seeing if there is an exit door to the stair case.

K = Karma

K = (stars * 15) + ((flags + applause) * 10) / posts

Example:

7619 stars * 15 = 114285
(524 flags + 92 applauses) * 10 = 6160
114285 + 6160 = 120445
120445 / 4074 posts = 29.5643103 rounded to 30

Note that here quantity can hurt you if you don't also get stars and flags. If you had 10,000 posts here instead of 4,074, your karma score would be 12 instead of 30. If you had 2,000 posts your score would be 60.

I think the current mods would do well at stamping out anything like that.
They take pride in what 'mod' means, so i doubt they'd want anyone in that group that would allow someone to disrespect their name.

I have faith more faith in the mods handling it, than i do in members raising 'vote offs' or 'anti ' threads...
