That, and if people actually utilize the resources! When people/friends, and family find out I don't do FB or Twitter they always say "errr, well what do you do online?" They seem completely dumbfounded that there is life outside of social media. After the kids go to bed I will sit and watch videos on Khan..I usually like the physics stuff on there..

I try new languages and watch videos on making things..I have learned (done and finished
projects from using online education.

I was thinking of a good one i forgot to add before.

This is an image manipulation program like photoshop.

Gimp

On the site you can download it for free, there are forums where you can ask questions and get help, but best of all it's all free !!

It's a really good program, the more you work with it the better you get.

Here are some Youtube video tutorials to get you started, there are ALOT more though, so if your interested check it out.

As requested resources for learning how to play piano..

Okay so start with some video tutorials

A piano teacher's free site for learning how to play, nice site as well
Andrew's piano academy

This is piano lessons with video and guide
6 part lessons on how to play

Here it starts with sitting position and goes through everything in a free video series
How to play piano

Well I hope to fill this thread with more information, and I am hoping more people can add to it.

Thanks for those that have already contributed, but let's keep it going!

Anyone who knows some great link to help learn something please add.


P.S. The reason why I think it is better to have a thread like this over a search engine, is that not everyone is going to get the same results trying to search themselves because of many different factors.
