I will see you there then.
Let me know if I need to bring anything specific that I may not have thought of.

Umm... I think there already was a 2nd Revolution...

1776- Declaration of Independence
[war]
1777- Articles of Confederation
1791- Constitution of the United States

1860- Unanimous return to the original form of government (S. Carolina).
[2nd war]

To get to the point though, I don't think a "revolution" (which is a self-evolution) is the answer. The great amerikan experiment turned out to be a failure... so instead, why not do something new.

I think more like a [doesn't need to be "war"] Secessionist angle is much better. When the parasite becomes larger than the host, the host's only hope is to divest itself from the slurping machinations of the hungry tick.

Start Secession (the USA as a Constitutional Republic was DOA before ever any of us were born).

Then New Construction (albeit with a good eye on recycling usable pieces from the pile of waste products).

Do you really believe people in the US have the fortitude to abandon their televisions long enough to wage war on their government?

Do you really believe they have the courage?

I think so.

And if not, shut the tv and iphone systems down and that alone would get enough people fired up. We do not all need the same reasons to have a revolution, just that the ultimate goal is the same.

Not everyone would jump on the bandwagon. Look at the LA riots, the whole country watched on their TV as that went down. One city 'revolting' won't really cause others to.

We need to get rid of capitalism.

Are you not paying attention? We have not had capitalism for a very long time. What we have is socialized fascism.

What we need is as little government as possible. enough to prosecute criminals, protect rights and provide for defense from attack... everything else should be accomplished through free will, not government force.

Capitalism is not the boogey man. What is so wrong about people having control of what they work hard for? Also, I couldn't help but notice you didn't give a suggestion as to what should replace it. Your plan please?

Adam smith envisioned a society anti corporate, pro free trade and a government that practiced laissez-faire. Certainly you can't point to a single "capitalist" society that practices actual capitalism. Capitalism, despite the fact that it doesn't exist, gets blamed for everything except the good that it can accomplish.

The American Revolution was only a revolution by name. In truth it was more of a war between France and Britain with us cheering the sidelines.

With that being said, America is well overdue a revolution, but a revolution in America cannot happen. For as long as the people are fed and entertained they will not rebel. Better a life of mediocrity and oppression than death.

What a ridiculous thread started by the OP. He wants revolution...but doesn't know where to go with it once he wins? "Hey, we'll just figure that out later...just get me my gun for now."

This is what happens when we give internet access to just anybody.

How do you really feel about freedom?

Do you really think internet access should be restricted to people who think like you do?

"Work hard for" is the problem. Why is it that Romney do nothing and make more money in one day that some American families make in a year? Because he works hard? Please...

The irony of capitalism is that it comes down not to whoever can work hardest, but exploit the most cunningly. All business in America is exploitation, otherwise the gap between CEO salaries and least payed employee salaries would not be over 250x.

All things being fair capitalism works, but replace manual labor with machine labor, and a agricultural economy with a service one and it suddenly begins to fall apart.

Capitalism really only works in theory and needs to be heavily regulated, otherwise monopolies and oligopolies form which use money to lobby in their favor.

Courage no else they would had done something years ago and you would have a transparant government and not a criminal cartel ran by bankers from Israel.

A food shortage brought on by gas prices might do the trick or a biological weapon killing you all at a faster rate than cancer migh also do the trick when most realize you have been dragged into a war just to benifit the banker elite and told no harm could possibly come to you.

Oh and good luck with the race riots, not this time round but the trigger has been tested ready to use just incase you get the "courage" to gang up on your criminal masters to demand any freedom.

You are assuming that capitalism exist. Please show me one country that practices Adam Smith capitalism today. Good Luck. That assumption is completely false. You are blaming the wrong thing. The discrepancy in wages has not always existed... look at the discrepancy in wages in the 1950's when the country was more capitalistic than it is today, they were not very large. Your problems with "capitalism" are really problems with corporatism, socialism and fascism being mixed together and branded as capitalism to the masses. Capitalism is simply people owning things and using those things as they wish when you get down to it.

When capitalism existed in a greater extent in the USA it created the largest middle class in the history of the world.

Capitalism does not require heavy regulations, it requires a government that enforces contract rights and property rights, otherwise it minds its own business.

So lets just assume that capitalism is what you say. What is it that you would like to replace it? Where is any incentive without private ownership and the means to exercise that private ownership as you wish?

America needs to form an NTC. The CIA have shown the world the blueprint for overthrowing governments. The American Government has made the murder of corrupt officials an accepted practice. The American Mainstream Media have blurred the lines between freedom fighter/rebel an terrorist like never before. The congress approval rating is stuck at a record low. The term 'career politician' has never been more of a derogatory term than it is right now. Bankers and CEO's have never been under more scrutiny. It is almost time to make the apple drop. All we have to do is follow the CIA.

We need martyr's,we need 'rebels' and we need an NTC. We also need outside support and acknowledgment from Russia and China. Im sure we can cut them a great deal in return for them recognising our NTC. Im sure we could also count on them for different forms of support if we cut them a juicy deal.

It could be done. The best time for a revolution is when the country is at war or in a depression. We could get both in America very soon. Maybe we should be getting our peoples army ready. Maybe we should be forming our NTC. Is that what OWS is doing right now?
We need an army, not a bunch of cry-baby hipsters.

You dance with the devil if you'd like, but I'm not cutting any "deals" for Russian or Chinese trinkets. The last time my people traded for trinkets didn't turn out all that well.

I'd accept support, but if strings come attached - and they nearly always do - they can keep their support and just sit and watch. I'm not interested in a "People's Democratic Republic of Amerika".

I won't participate in any "NTC", either - transition isn't what I'm after, restoration is.

Revolution is not war.

Capitalist market, healthcare robbing, stock stealing, retirement fund stealing, and bailout takers "The 1%" represent America and participate in embezzlement also they foreclose homes and evict tenants if ever this where ever put in mainstream media which is owned by six corporations and is highly unlikely they would put their funds in corrupt continents and if ever caught they would destroy the documents that prove such crimes. They believe the world is a business. Our politicians have views that have been paid for by "The 1%" and a few of them are in that wealth range. "The 1%" own the World bank and "Federal" Reserve therefore they have control of the inflation levels and interest rates. No invention that would help the world would be used in public until a "reasonable profit margin" could be introduced an example would be the cure for aids United States Patent #5676977 until "The 1%" is removed from power.
