Thats ok I'm just putting it out there, even if a small part of it has truth, I;m just really owrried about justice, and liberty going out the door very soon, and if we don't do something now, we are going to have a bleak future completely controlled, with no money, and mere existence if that.

America isn't the only place that needs revolution, almost all "free" countries do. Here in the UK, I wish a revolution would occur.

People here don't seem to care about their freedom, at all. This latest legislation that promises to allow the Government to spy on everything (like they couldn't anyway ) including Skype, is the pinnacle of tyranny, where you aren't even free to have a video call. Yet, hardly anyone here cares, using the usual "if you've got nothing to hide, you shouldn't care" argument, which is the fear argument.
We all need to be rid of our politicians, and need a new system of Government.

So far we are the only ones here at ATS who are awake.
Yes there are other peoples as well but certainly not the masses.
People will wake-up in about ten years from now.
By that time the governments will be fully prepared and will be ruthless if anyone attempts anything.

That would be all well and good if we had honesty in our voting system! But now? we can't even get the people from the same party to play fair. There is so much voting fraud, how can you say "well we will just have to vote them out"? I no longer have any faith in the voting system. If I did I would agree but it is a joke, look how fairly Ron Paul was treated and to be honest I think if the voting process was a true count I would say I think Ron would have won. So there is my answer to doing things the "system way". We could start down the right path by putting some of these people who "bend the rules" behind bars, but again they "own" the judicial system as well.

For example, the crack head family member. Let me ask you, how do you treat a bee... a snake... how do you treat poison ivy? Do you cast judgement and turn your back on such things? No. You understand that a bee can sting, so you calmy usher it away as to not cause it stress. You slowly step back and walk away from a snake. You walk around poison ivy. You understand a thing, and then you can better interact with it. When the thief comes around, put your valuables away and lock doors/draws ahead of time. Show them love, and understand their nature. Perhaps your understanding and friendship will save their life or someday help them change for the better.

Not trying to be funny but, as far as myself, I would give the bee a chance to leave by swatting at it, if it does not head my warning, I will stomp on it. As far as the snake, (like government) if it poses a threat to my life or that of my family I would kill it. Poison Ivy....weed be gone!! I have as much right to live free of danger or constrain as much as the next and if you cannot reason with and come to terms with fair compromise, then I feel you have a right to force. Look at the laws of nature "The stronger survives" man had no hand in that one.

The people that live in the United States of America are not REAL Americans. REAL Americans would never have let things get this bad. The people of the USA are a bunch of fat lazy consumer zombies who will do whatever the government tell them to do. There will be no revolution you can bank on that.

Prove me wrong....I'll be waiting.....

I think you are 100% correct! I live here and I am disgusted at the way people live with there head in the sand. There are too many people who have lost the pride and integrity of our history. There use to be a good stereo type for us that I was proud to hear like the "all American boy" It was a term that represented a kid who was raised to work hard, play hard, show respect for there elders, show compassion for others, went out of there way to help neighbors and not expect anything in return but a thank you, always had a smile on there face, and always accepted and treated another fairly.

The problem came when this type of "culture" was exploited by the ones who "expected" everything for nothing. Rather than work hard and EARN there way up, the others expected or felt entitled to a free ride.

Exactly right my friend. Consumerism and the marketing of the egocentric personality is what killed that once great nation and is continuing to purge forth idiots like the morons on Jersey shore and keeping up with the Kardashians. All America is good for is Tv shows and movies. Oh and fast food. What a perversion of the original greatness that it once represented.

People need to think. Do they believe that those currently in power with all the wealth and all the corporations they control will lie down and let the ordinary man take over? Not a hope in hell.

The ONLY way of getting a change is via the existing democratic process. The first step is to organise a third party with funding by everybody (50 million people x 10 dollars each). Get this third way elected and change the law, quite literally, to organise society the way it needs to be organised........however, I suspect the US has a far greater problem here than almost all European countries, except maybe Switzerland. You have to ditch capitalism and that I'm afraid that is the stumbling block to change. Your general population is wedded to the "American Dream" that is "Capitalism". Some people actually believe (her on ATS) that you have socialist mechanisms in government that are preventing true capitalism from working. That is a real roll on the floor legs in the air moment!!

i for sure think a revolution is needed, but i want it to be peaceful. i admit this may be a stupid idea, but couldn't we take our country back by all of us at once refusing to pay our taxes. simply throwing our hands up and saying enough is enough, we are through with the enslavement! it would bring our government to it's knees and send a loud and clear message that we are sick of the corruption, endless wars and waste.

I agree with you.

Revolution is a very, very dangerous course of action that could lead to situations which are much worse than the one which currently exists in the United States.

Civic action, particularly civil disobedience of various sorts has been proven in the past as a way to prod the government to respond to the public's urgent needs. Civil disobedience is the bluntest of the blunt instruments of politics, short of armed assaults on government power, but if employed judiciously by astutely led people, it can get results without completely overturning the applecart of national government.

America doesn't have a problem with it's form of government. It doesn't need a new form of government. It needs it's government to function the way it was originally designed to function, with checks and balances against the rise of tyranny.

i think when you say capitalism you are thinking only of the mega wealthy....i am a small business owner and work hard for what i have. i think capitalism is the only true way for freedom. it is my viewpoint, and yes i admit it is a view point, that social programs no matter what they are cause dependance. you can never have a true free society with dependance. i.e., socialism

The problem is you are a MINORITY, You live in a democracy remember. The elite dont have to control the whole country just 51%

they control you with food
they control you with sport
they control you with products
they control you with entertainment
so out of those basic groups we all submit to at least one of those groups and thats how they get the numbers.

Some maniacs subscribe to the whole package they are the ones that will kill you to maintain their fantasy world.

I say again you are a minority and nothing will change until you are the majority. And by then we will all be dead.

perhaps what you've said is true, but i believe people are having a shift in consciousness and are starting to wake up. at the very least i'm sure we can both agree that we live in interesting times! the next few years will certainly not be boring!

No you're not the only person that believes America needs a second revolution although it may be a civil war between rich and poor.
