If you walk in front of the Kings carriage you will get run over. Indicative of the times. The self appointed dignitaries (kings) of the modern world hide behind their corporate titles but really they are kings. And the drivers job is to protect the King.

He'd be fired in a moment if he stopped for that woman. That is absolutely forbidden. To the escort detail that is a suicide vest strapped terrorist disguised as a woman trying to blow up the Kings carriage...

Granted its messed up to see that type of crap, but I'd kinda expect that to happen to me if I decided to walk out in front of an up-armored humvee, or any vehicle at that.. IMO, this bitch deserved it. Darwin proved his theory once again...

Not defending the actions of anyone, but liberals chimp out over what appears to be a heartless hit and run fail to accept or understand that people regularly and singlehandedly kill large numbers of US troops by strapping bombs to themselves and throwing themselves into convoys full of troops.

Blackwater troops are all mostly former military, and so expect this type of thing. If you've ever had to watch your fellow soldiers get blown to small red chunks of dog chow, I'm sure you would do the same thing. These are not red cross medics or useless / pointless UN troops, they are war torn experienced veterans.

So take your liberal media brainwashing and shove it. Besides, it's pretty hard to miss a large caravan of vehicles travelling in expensive transports. The intelligent assumption is that if you see someone step into the traffic of your vehicles, the intention is not a good one and you are lucky to have escaped with a failed bombing attempt / suicidal civilian.

It is likely that all four Geneva conventions have been routinely broken in all the videos shown by an operating procedure on the ground, but then the Geneva convention is only a creation of 'the funnies' isn't it? Ironically, a soldier has only his own rite of passage, like everyone who is not a soldier. He does not have rite of passage for anyone else, just because uncle sam or kitchener, and the likes of, say is alright in the killing machine.

I was there and those people are scary. They are answerable to no one and they are insane. No one in the military likes them. Actually, they are despised by the military. A lot of the problems we had was because these flippin idiots would shoot up places, run over things, people, blow stuff up and the people would associate them with us. To them we were the same and they would take their hatred out on us. It was hard to take it out on blackwater because they didn't walk patrols. These chickens**ts would only get in their fully armored SUVs and then drive like complete maniacs from one base to the next. They never had the balls to go walking the streets.

The best part is, they are employees of the Dept of State. You know, the diplomats. They have their own private air force with little birds, hueys, and transport planes. All their mercs can carry whatever weapon they want because they are not under any form of law.

These are the people who will be kicking in your front door if/when SHTF. Just look at Katrina.

Unfortunately they didn't keep going into the 3rd season, it was really looking like it was going to get very interesting.

This is a clear violation of the Status of Forces Agreement as at least the last time I was deployed to Baghdad the first video depicts a PSD or personal security detail probably on its way to picking up their principle from the al faw palace to be returned to the NEC or aka the new embassy complex I know the area there very well as I used to do the same job as a Marine. Do NOT compare these people to soldiers! They are NOT soldiers, they are mercenaries, and like all mercenaries they are complete bags of excrement! It is because they are NOT soldiers that they are not beholden to the Geneva convention.

The way I see it is that the woman obviously and intentionally walked into the side of the truck, for whatever reason? Maybe she thought that she would at least get 1 virgin in the afterlife for denting the truck...

That concept doesn't exist outside of America - and perhaps parts of Europe.

The only reason this gets attention is because it was a mercenary unit in a foreign country. Locals run each other over enough for it to not be an infrequent event.

Korea is another prime example. When you cross the road, there, you do not make eye contact with the driver of a vehicle. Once you have done this, you have acknowledged that you are aware of that vehicle's presence, and are now responsible for getting the hell out of the way. Drivers won't necessarily speed up to hit you - but they aren't going to stop just because you're not quite intelligent enough to figure out that you and the car cannot occupy the same space at the same time (and the car has the decided advantage).

Which is why you look out the corner of your eye when crossing roads in Korea - and you don't go with the presumption you have the "right of way" as a pedestrian. The car is much bigger and more powerful than you are. It has the defacto right-of-way; challenges to this will result in a very humbling lesson in physics.

It won't happen to me, because I take careful measures to ensure I am not in the same place as a moving vehicle at the same time. It doesn't matter who the driver is. Said measures prevented me from getting run over by some douchebag of a "shipmate" about a week ago. Getting run over on base tends to be more paperwork than its worth.

If I had continued with my "right of way" - I would have probably broken both legs and been dropped from deployment (an unacceptable financial casualty). Sure... it would have been the "drivers' fault" - but it's not as though I was unable to see he was blissfully unaware of my existence before passing within inches of where I stopped to let him proceed (and prevent injury all together).

There is no justification for this.

Intentionally running someone over is generally not justifiable. However, if my movement is part of evasive maneuvers to extract from a hostile environment... tough luck, buddy.

I'm not going to judge the event one way or another without proper information. Having direct connections to people who were in various wartime environments (such as the battle for Falluja) - I know there are a number of cases of unwarranted actions taken by members of the military - and a number of justifiable actions that get blown out of proportion. Perhaps some of the most 'unforgivable' acts of indiscriminate killings are never even touched by the media (even though the military basically crucified those responsible) - but the media LOVES the 'gray area' cases that involve individuals making very tough decisions under "less than ideal" conditions.

So, I tend to be skeptical of the sensationalism behind each case. I've heard a couple stories of our soldiers being ordered to open up on unarmed protesters blocking a vehicle with a .50 cal (the vehicle literally having to drive over a mound of bodies) - and the media blatantly ignores the action while choosing to highlight some E-3 who decided to take a shot and kill some civilian poking his head out of the window with a camera during a firefight.

I've also heard stories and seen briefs about how local civilians are paid between $100 and $500 to plant bombs, protest outside of bases, or award that money to their families for blowing themselves up in a market place (or some other place to cause casualties). How local women will attempt to seduce service members into a relationship and put glass or blades in their vagina.

But the media will run the story of some drunken confrontation between a military person and a local, trying to make it sound like there is some DOD policy to get drunk and harass the locals.

So, like I said - I tend to regard most media coverage as completely and totally useless. It doesn't cover important events. It only covers piddley # that will drum up a tizzy.

"They" don't hate us. There are multiple camps of thought in Iraq - plenty of people who still want us there (because they do not trust the government for a number of internal/religious reasons I don't have space to explain) - and plenty of people who think it is time they run their government and let us go home (not being hostile toward us, just of the opinion we're no longer necessary).

Then you have the extreme groups who will hate "us" regardless of what we do or don't do. There's no pleasing them, there's no reasoning with them. It's like how you will continue to disagree with me regardless of how I word things or explain them.

under saddam husseins iraq, if someone was deliberately running over women and endangering the life's of children and citizens, they would get weeks of torture and if they are lucky, a quick execution.

under george bush's democratic iraq, it's legal.

if saddam hussein ran the department of justice in the united states, the crime rate would drop to -300%. organized crime would seize to exist, and you can leave $1,000,000 cash unattended in the middle of a walmart parking lot during black friday, come back 5hrs later and it would still be there.

This is worse than calling Zimmerman a white vigilante just because you heard it on the news, because here you have video.

How do we know this is Blackwater, and not Special Forces, Delta Force, Seals or some other group like the French Foreign Legion?

What was their reason for traveling fast, armed to the teeth, in a convoy? Were they out for a joy ride just because it fits into your descriptions of deplorable behavior? Or could they be responding to an emergency situation where their fellows or allies were in need of support?

Would a police officer that is responding to an emergency, stop if he bumps your car if you were in the way?
Hell no. The emergency takes priority.

Do nice innocent people in a war and terrorist-filled nation normally walk into traffic when there are very large fast moving military-looking vehicles approaching? It's not like NYC where people do that on purpose in order to sue you. (this is the part where you try to use that part of your brain that allows for reasoning/rationalization) They are either up to no good-approaching the vehicle to fire a weapon or throw something, or maybe, just maybe the person was not paying attention/blinded by the burqa, having a heart-attack or seizure and fell into traffic or was pushed by someone, or tripped, etc...
Many more conclusions can be jumped to other than "Woman was deliberately run over by Blackwater thugs".

Watch the video on youtube so you can maximize it, then pause/play/pause/play a frame or two at a time. The person did not get run over. You can't claim it was a hit and run like is would've been in Main Street, USA.

Non-descript person clearly enters the road on their own into a fast moving large vehicle.
Other video:
Car pulls out into oncoming traffic blocking the military vehicles who are sounding their klaxon/horn, stops in their path, and then gets bumped out of the way.
Car tries to make a left turn through the oncoming, fast moving convoy and gets side-swiped.
High-strung young men are pumped up and respond with bravado, machismo, tough-guy talk to potential enemy combatants/civilians.
Sensationalists jump at the chance to cry foul because...because...well I can't figure that one out.

I'll tell you this much, anyone came into the area I reside and acted like that, they would be pulling a 40 caliber slugs out of their worthless bodies. The only propaganda that I am seeing is that PERHAPS I was disliking middle easterners somewhat unjustly. We are @ssholes...
