30 days for Sullivan
ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. – Avoiding potentially sordid testimony in a criminal trial, former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan pleaded
guilty Tuesday to SEVERAL charges of trading methamphetamine for sex.
In arguing for the maximum sentence, three years in prison, prosecutors cited an interview with Sullivan immediately after his arrest in which the
former sheriff allegedly told police he may have engaged in sex with underage individuals. Instead, after a brief hearing, the judge sentenced him to
38 days in jail, eight of which had already been served.
This is just despicable. If it was an average citizen, they'd be spending
years in prison. But this
guy, a big time pedophile and meth user, is also
big time law enforcement....gets 30 days.
Who knows how many lives this man has destroyed.
“I apologize to the court, this community and my family,” Sullivan said in a brief statement.
“There is no excuse for my behavior. I accept the court’s decision and I just want to move forward with my life.”
I'm sure his victims would like to move forward with their lives also. Not so easy when your perp
get's off pracrtically scott free.
Tom Martino from KHOW received a video showing a young male, approximately 10 years old,
being raped by someone who looks to be Sullivan. Another young man showed up dead just
hours after Sullivan bailed him out of jail. This guy is a poster boy for corruption.
