Of course everything you put in print is visible for scrutiny, and will be long after your gone (pass on). Your grandchildren will (if the internet still exists in it's present form, not censored) be able to look up archives of all your posts and affiliations with different forums, and likely emails you responded to or sent. All your anti-government rants, sympathies for groups, your porn apatite, your ennuendos, romances, consumerism (Ebay, Amazon, Craigslist etc.) So don't think your anonymous because you certainly are not, you leave a trail everywhere you go, and those trails can build a psychological profile on you quickly. If for instance you jockingly posted in a blog, your disgust for a person, and joked of their demise, it could be construed that you might be inclined to harm or worse, that individual or individuals, or whatever group/place.

Anyone with any intuition at all should be aware or have thought of the repercussions of you behavior or vocalizations on topics or people. Simple really. Do you think you can threaten Joe Smith with impunity based on free speech? Well certain political figures seem to be able, like Sharpton and Jackson, but by and large, the same rhetoric would likely get you arrested on 'Hate' or Terrorist" charges. Of course certain key 'words' trigger scrutiny from government agencies, and a group of them there are. Known and unknown. And not only government, but private entities too.

So it would behoove you to exercise a bit of prudence when typing up your proclamations, rants or takes on whatever you subscribe to. It could and likely at some time be used against you as liberties are stripped. China is an example of internet censorship where you could loose your life saying or promoting the wrong political agenda. Many have disappeared and truth be known, it likely happens here as well, only more covertly.

So........ it would not surprise me, and actually I would expect it, and count on surviellance of not only ATS, but basically any provocative site. To not be cautious is to bet on your safety. I'm not taking the risk, and if you must rant, become a wordsmith....... just saying.

Not sure how many disinfo agents post on ATS, because it's hard to tell the shills from the morons. The messages are basically the same... to think ass-backwards and spread it around.

Like the person who recently posted: Time to take the gun from the American public!

I mean REALLY? Wow!

I agree.

Well i guess this is me coming out for the first time here i have been following this site for quite some time and have just recently become a member,so this is sort of an introduction of sorts.

This whole world system is very simple really if you look at it from a different point of view, the system is set up like a very large farm , the Owners of the farm (ie:tptb,or whatever title you decide to put on them, big world corperations, the banks, and the tax collectors) they reap the very biggest portion of all proceeds from the farms production, this group are what one would call the 1%ers they pretty much own everything and have set up laws to protect these holding from ever being lost , then you have the farms labor force ,witch would be the majority of us, the 99%ers.

Now here is ware i will attempt to shed a little light on the OP topic.
The Owners of the farm want everything to run smoothly without interruptions and in such a way to maximize profit margins in order to support living a lifestyle based completely on vanity .
First and foremost every resource we farm for them must be sold back to us in such a way to keep us always living just on the very fine line of contentment.
Second we must always be entertained or keep occupied doing anything that will keep our focus off the Owners of the farm, this can be achieved in many different ways, start a war by means of convincing ppl that there are crucial differences in them that are an immediate threat to there way of living (ie: differences of religion, ethnicity,or whatever beliefs one might have) this can be achieved through the use of misinformation for the purpose of causing social separation of various groups ,and lowers the likelihood of the Owners the the farm ulterior motives ever being discovered.
Would the Owners of the farm infiltrate a site like this or even own one like it or this one ,very likely because i would want to know exactly whats going on what the ppl are talking about and try to create talk countering anything that might threaten my holdings,i would want to get to know my enemy from within and attack from within.

I have been looking at the world system for a long time listening watching and learning and to the best of my knowledge this is what i have come up with ,all of what i have shared is knowledge accumulated from so many sources over so many years that it would be impossible to give credit to all of them,so i give the credit to all of you i have been watching and listening thank you for so much!

I'm allergic to milk, coffee and cookies is better.

If I was a government worker I would like to be assigned to monitor a site like this. It would be a great job, getting paid to post and watch others comments. Those kinds of dreams never realize in my world. I have learned much of others perceptions of reality from interacting and watching them here. Another cornerstone has been added to the building of my knowledge.

I was reading a book I picked up at the library and to my surprise, my favorite website, above top secret was mentioned. The book, Mirage Men by Mark Pilkington talks about the government controlling the information we receive and believe about ufos and aliens. I am only a few chapters in with the book but the author believes we are constantly fed misinformation and they want us to believe in Ufos and aliens to keep us from finding out the real truths they are hiding from us ( what ever they might be.) He thinks even Above top Secret website is monitored constantly by the government and the government posts misinformation to confuse us. Any thoughts?

The fact they are keeping it so secret scares me enough. I am not one that will be welcoming "aliens" with open arms and a warm smile.

I've done research into the illuminati, aleister crowley, ufo phenomenon, and other topics. To me, imo, as a christian, these "aliens" are demonic, and deceptive, and dangerous. But thats just me. I'm sure there are lots of great theories out there. But one that is not great is saying these beings are extra-terrestrial, as any physicist can tell you it is just physically impossible for these things to exist and move about, but rather they are extra-dimensional.

Just something to ponder...

Says he was out of that line of work by '83, so I guess I am buying beers, as it would have been '86 or so.

Not sure how much to believe from there. Was hoping you knew from some alternate, more confirmable route.

Maybe you should open your eyes. People are the ones doing the deceiving. Not aliens. The Morality of societies around the globes is declining. Everyone is getting greedy and want to control other peoples lives.

I can't imagine anything more awful. Not knocking ATS, but think of all the forums you don't visit because it doesn't interest you. Now imagine having to read each and every posting on whichever ones they are. Not just glance over, but really look at.

Grant you, they're doing keyword searches to find the posts that they want to examine, but there's still a lot of reading on totally boring posts that I can't see how they keep their sanity.

Back in 2004, we found out that there were guys from DIA that were having to scan a certain non-ATS website, every thread, for posts containing anything that looked like it had military security relevance. There's only so much automation you can use for that when you're looking for "there's a big push coming up in the next few days and I've been reassigned to Kabul" since there's not many keywords and a lot of ways to spill operation data that aren't scannable. So much material and so few guys that they were six months behind at the time, there having been a spate of threads generating lots of keyword noise, which seems a bit useless for opsec scanning, but whatever.

I can't imagine having to sit around all day long reading comments about Britney Spears' underwear or Snooki's drinking habits, hoping to find some opsec violation. Ugh.

My eyes are open, and I do see that deception. So your saying people (humans) are controlling the "aliens", making them not appear to the masses?

Seems to me the ones in the know and the "aliens" are working together for this deception.

Are you willing to accept these beings as is?

These pictures people have in their heads of some room where a bunch of people are paid to post disinfo on sites are probably really far from the truth.

Back in my college days, I was preparing for a career with the CIA, starting in their FBIS division (Foreign Broadcast Information Service). Not too far into the program, it was axed (the program, not the FBIS), after the coup in Russia (as this program was geared specifically to Russia. (i.e. those of us in the program were taking Russian and other training). By the way, after only about 6 weeks, my Russian is nearly non-existant...so don't ask.

Anyhoo....basically, there are computer programs that sift through all the electronic information they can handle (which at that time, was still a pretty low percentage globally speaking). These programs of course search for keywords along with other keywords (and regions, and message size, and other numerous parameters), and using algorithms they return a list of "hits" that are THEN investigated by a flesh and blood analyst. Even then, only a percentage of the highest hits are actually investigated due to manpower and the amount of information. With this serious work to be done, I highly doubt someone is being paid by the government to reinforce a belief in UFOs. It simply isn't needed. There are plenty of private citizens who are all too happy to post about their experiences, etc.

Besides, that's a pretty sweeping statement (as well as vague) by the author...to state the government is fostering a belief in UFOs to hide something, and then of course, bowing out of actually telling you WHAT he believes they are hiding with this agenda.

Or the fact that it's the umpteen millionth thread claiming ATS is nothing but spies, like we see on an almost daily basis, so it just adds to the content, making it harder to sift for actual conspiracy threads....

Well stated! But to dumb it down a bit...if you were the King of a land and provided your peasants with internet access...wouldn't you almost have to monitor what your people are thinking and doing just to avoid a revolt? The internet seems to be the one place that people will truly be themselves. As bad as it is...they will say things they would never say in public, at a bar, on a date, etc. What better place to research the "farm workers".

The only question I would like to pose is this...are we closer to "farm workers" or "livestock"? Personally...I think livestock. We are told what to eat, drink, do, how and when to breed, how many children to have and most everything else. More like cattle than workers in my opinion.

How on Earth are we told this?

I know some people who eat only veggies and organic stuff, and others who gorge out on McDonalds.

I know some who drink only water, and others who drink a 12pk of regular soda a day.

I know some couples who have no kids, and others who have eight kids!

If someone's telling us these things, it isn't working, as we're not listening...

I find it rather amazing how all staff jump on the gun when disinfo agents are discussed. I mean really, I dont see even half of these mods on regular threads.

How could you actually sit here and tell us that someone isn't payed to sway public opinion?..

I mean really.. You guys act like these threads attack you personaly.. Why is that?

First of all, ATS can be infiltrated by anyone from around the world if you consider ATS to be an Organization/Entity such as the Government or Intelligence Agencies (which it is not). This means anyone with access to the Internet is free to join ATS. Its a conspiracy theory website open to anyone willing to discuss/contribute issues and theories. Ofcourse there are rules and regulations to be followed just like many other websites. What is there to infiltrate?

If not anything, I think ATS is a good resource for many individuals including students, politicians, reporters etc etc to find plenty of good information with source links. Few touchy subjects might be addressed by individuals defending their view points doesn't necessarily make them government personnel. The only time I would worry about intervention or possible paid bloggers/agents working for the Government would be when the ATS membership increases significantly and becomes a subject of discussion on MSM outlets.

Yes i would agree that Livestock is a much better term to use!

And if i were tptb i might just use sites like this to plant a seed in hopes to invoke a revolt, then benefit off the revolt in an insidious way!

Chances are but there isn't any profit to be made to pay a blogger to sway the public opinion just on ATS

I have read about paid bloggers working for private sector where they are paid to promote products/services.

There are individuals who feel strongly about specific subjects and topics that they only respond when they feel it appeals their thought process. All I can say from my personal experience at ATS is that it starts off with response to several threads on ATS until you realize that skepticism is good upto certain extent but it can also mislead you to disbelief and a constant state of paranoia. After a while once many of the theories and predictions are proven wrong, you generally slow down on your posts and responses and only respond to the ones you feel worth discussing on ATS.

Well let's hope they do, maybe they'll actually learn something constructive and purposeful from ATS.

And if they post misinformation, what is the difference between the BS the politicians give us and internet disinformation, just sift through the BS.
