My results:

The first time I took the compass test I was about -2, -2. I took it a second time some time later and was closer to -4, -4 if memory serves. Now I'm .38, -2.26.
Oh well, I guess that's not too far to the right.

The second test though, I've never taken, so first time for me.

Told you guys Obama isn't a Socialist, in fact I bet more people, on this particular forum are right on the same spot as Obama. Be honest now guys

Again with this BS program?...

Are people really this stupid that they believe a program some schmuck invented, and you just believe it just because that schmuck claims "it faithfully represents where you stand?...

Obama is a fascist, which happens to be part of the socialist ideology...

Of course this MADE UP program will put Hitler as a "rightwinger" as well...

I totally agree Neo. It is really odd how so many leftists view Obama as being more right. I think some of the lefties here feel more anarchic or Libertarian and do not see how the socialist philosophy is really on the authoritarian side of the spectrum. But Lenin and his communist buddies were also anarchic in nature and supported anarchistic revolutions to gain control for the communist party in Russia. They also were very authoritarian. For some reason, people keep trying to portray Stalin as not really communist. I find that pretty amazing.
Anyway, just like communist China, whatever socialist or communist revolutionary movement is popular at any time, it is necessary to be authoritarian to force it because people will not accept it otherwise, or have to be convinced that it is not what it is.

You are a Trotskyist. 3 percent of the test participators are in the same category and 1 percent are more extremist than you.

I knew it!
I never understood what people hated about that guy!

On the compass thing I am extreme left (-9.75) and pretty libertarian (-7.44)
Is it me or are the libertarianism-questions in that one focused on stuff nobody cares about? (Bedsrooms and Gods?)

First, the thread was meant to be fun...most people posting got that.
Second, yes Obama is a fascist in a lot of ways, guess where that is on the spectrum? Authoritarian Right. He is extremely far from socialism. As far as Hitler goes...he was no socialist either, he was psychotic, he'd have been psychotic regardless of any label he manipulated people under.

I think that's a bit too far right for Ron Paul too

It never ceases to amaze me how many think this. Paul is as right as you can get. Left-Right is economics. Paul wants to end regulation, end financial borders, end minimum wages, end social security, end government intervention. Folks don't understand the candidates they support. They like the social positions (which aren't too bad) but have no comprehension of the consequences of the economic. Boggles the mind. Rand Paul was the only person defending BP during the gulf spill, that's how right they are.

Eh, a little more left than I thought. Female, registered independent, fiscal conservative, social liberal and I wish individual responsibility would make a come back.

But the clustering of the presidential candidates just proves what I've been saying to friends and family. Two heads, same Hydra. Republican? Democrat? Doesn't matter, they are all co-opted into the corporatacracy (fascism lite?)

ETA:

Seriously? National Liberal Democrat? WTH is that? Nice to know I'm one of an elite group - 2% of test takers.
