CNN

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- U.S. stocks closed higher Monday. The latest U.S. manufacturing numbers gave investors reason to keep the stock market's rally going on the first day of the second quarter.

While the March manufacturing report only narrowly beat expectations, investors were energized because the report showed U.S. prices rising less than expected, signaling that inflation may not be a near-term concern.

The Comments will make you laugh.

Since 1960 stocks have done 9 times better with a Democrat in the White House.

Really? sure they since they rigged to do that.

Only care that it's a rally. Take your doomsayer news to Faux. I am making big bucks & am smart enough to hide in GLD when needed. You just sit on the sidelines & watch me work. Much like football, there are the people who play & the people who watch & wish they could play. My returns show I'm a player. How about you??

My returns show I'm a player. How about you??

The stimulus worked.

Correction nolimits3333 it worked for the rich not the poor.

1eye2eye, I am not the heartless b@st@rd you make me out to be. I know people who were hurt by this recession. But you seem to have a political point you wish to make & I have no use for politics. We all try to do right for our families, to the best of our abilities. I don't need congratulations from you. But I can smell a tea partier from through my computer and don't think that this started in 2008, otherwise you are ignorant. Normally I would apologize for offending, but I'm way too educated not too see through your tea party ignorance of everything went bad in 2008. Put on your white sheets, twirl your rebel flag & vote for Romney. He'll make it better for you & I'll get even richer. Love & kisses, gsquare.

Thankfully, I pulled all my money out of the market when the Socialist took over. Can't wait for Romney to get back in office so I can start investing again.

He cant for Romney?

Your really stretching to find some bad news there eh?

And Matthew would like us to hype into this Rally? no thanks.

Actually the dollar has strengthen against the major currencies. The main reason for the increase in oil and gas prices is the tension between Iran and the US, Israel.

yeah, you're the guy who knows "the truth", all of us with our savings in the stock market are "fools". please...sure are a lot of messiahs on this board.

Once again this is why i want a major global recession to further happen and why? its because there are still some fools and idiots who are hyping and jumping into these market rallies in all for HOPE

Maybe when the market crashes maybe then they will get through there thick small brains.

I cant believe there are still some idiots on the markets doing stocks.

I guess they haven't learned anything out of the 2007/2008 experience, and what makes them think Romney will be any different from Obama? For havens sake his the same as Obama.

When your in a huge corporation the only objective you have is to stay alive and destroy other firms that would try to bring your firm down by different means.

And people think Romney will fix the economy? LOL Hardly he wont!

I think your analytical approach is pretty clear here. The business cycle and the political cycle are pretty far removed truth be told. It just sounds good and entertains monkeys who like to toss ##### on both sides for no reason.

Oh and I am making hella returns, have lost hella money, but am way better off then what my original equity was.

I specifically like this statement...

If nothing else he seems honest.

Anyone who bases their financial decisions based on politics, well, deserves the outcome they get.
