Lets throw more money at education..........well that hasnt been working(for years). OK now lets tax the hell out of millionaires, that more then likely own a buisness, bet they dont pass the extra tax cost off to thier customers(joke).Has anyone noticed that no one is really talking about the national debt( which both parties did to us) in this election year. We are broke, dead ass broke and it wont be long before it all comes crashing down. I dont no about anyone else, this isnt about party politics,it is not about pointing fingers and who is right or wrong,it is about doing what is right, it is about our future. The kid said something smart the other day, 370,000,000 people in this country and this is the best we can come up with. WOW !!!!!

What we need is for mathematicians and economists to take over the economics of the country..and political spinbots need to stay the hell out.
Education is a good thing..sorry if you don't agree with this, but it doesn't matter actually. We need to educate our people, because the dumbarse jobs are gone overseas and will never, ever come back...also, have some damn pride in being clever for christs sakes...I have no clue what is running this anti-intellectualism so rampant these days...the movie idiocracy was a warning of the future, not a cool thing to try and achieve.

Frankly this system we have in place is exactly what we deserve..because both sides demand politicians and idealism trump mathematical principles.

Cool. What's the problem? Are you saying this like it's a negative thing?

I bet ATS would applaud if Obama said; "I am my brother's master"

I am not sure why it is contemptuous to promote the betterment of all Americans
or to at least believe in that. But I do think their is something contemptuous
about consistently promoting the economic standing of a few people which seems
to be the policy that opposes Obama's and my outlook. Oddly enough, those
same interests are the same interests that have a stake in growing government.
Not only do Republicans and conservatives give economic favoritism to the elite
through tax policy, they also provide favoritism with law (or lack of laws) to the same
group. I wonder if the conservative foot solider will ever be able to connect that
this favoritism is intrinsically linked to the growth of the government and the destruction
of the middle rungs of America's economic continuum. It's seems obvious...

You focus on making the rich people richer and the poor will get poorer, it is cause and
effect, not rocket science. Since consumer spending equate nearly 2/3 of the economy
it would make sense to make policies that better the consumer.

So yesterday Big O's budget was defeated 414-0 in the house...really? Even the dems didn't like it...get out.

How $3.7 Trillion Is Spent Mr. Obama's budget proposal includes $3.7 trillion in spending in 2013, and forecasts a $901 billion deficit.

www.nytimes.com...

Republicans said Democrats were afraid to vote for Obama's proposed tax increases and extra spending for energy and welfare. Democrats said Republicans had forced a vote on a version of Obama's budget that contained only its numbers, not the policies he would use to achieve them.
townhall.com...

And in case you're wondering, Senate Democrats still have no plans to even introduce a budget, nonetheless pass one. Senate Democrats have said they will not bring a budget to the floor this year, though Republicans in the chamber have talked about trying to at least force a vote on Mr. Obama's plan there as well.

Paul Ryan's budget plan.....to be our own keepers:

We get government bureaucrats out of the business of picking winners and losers in the Economy. Because Americans should make their own decisions about what kind of car they drive or what kind of light bulb they use. And we give power over the safety net programs to the states. Because we believe that governments that are closest to the people are in the best position to design programs for their unique communities to get people onto lives of self sufficiency and upward mobility. When we lower tax rates by closing special interest loopholes, were saying we in Washington don’t need to micromanage peoples decisions through the tax code. Let people keep more of their hard earned dollars. Let them decide how to spend it. Economic growth, jobs, upward mobility, opportunity, these are what we are striving for just like our parents did the same for us.
paulryan.house.gov...

Ryan's plan finally addresses the ridiculous tax code....ending loop holes and having 2 tax rates..

He has previously said the 10% rate would apply to couples earning less than $100,000 a year, and singles earning less than $50,000, with the 25% rate applying to incomes above that. But in the budget he rightly leaves those precise thresholds and the deductions and credits to be eliminated in the tax reform to the House Ways and Means Committee as they determine necessary to leave the whole reform revenue neutral. Ryan also proposes to reduce the federal corporate income tax rate from 35% to 25%, the same rate as in China. That 25% rate is the international average, and Ryan’s proposed reduction is the minimum necessary to restore international competitiveness to American business.

Paul Ryan's budget plan.....to be our own keepers:

Paul Ryan's plan is a radical piece of garbage and anyone who supports it is a complete idiot...unless they are rich...then it's a great plan.

3 trillion it more tax cuts for the rich....in trade of cutting programs that help the middle class and poor. Oh, and by the way......let's phase out Medicare while we're at it and hand out vouchers! YEAH AWESOME. OH...still adding 4 trillion to the deficit in process!! But who cares! The 3 trillion in tax cuts will trickle down to those who had assistance programs cut! It WILL WORK!!! And in the process all the little people will pay more in taxes! IT WILL WORK!!!!

I hope they promote this plan...in a general election...people will leave in droves. Their budget proves who they are.

They don't give a damn about regular people. They are trying to destroy the entire infrastructure that supports the middle class.

Dont worry about entitlements...Ryan takes better care of the seniors in his plan than your dictator:

But it was Obamacare that already changed Medicare as we know it, transforming it literally into a death trap for seniors. Obamacare cut Medicare payments to doctors and hospitals by $500 billion in the first 6 years alone, adding up to trillions over the long run.

Contrary to the childish silliness of Wasserman Schulz and Carney, Ryan’s Medicare reforms would simply extend the popular and successful policies of Medicare Parts D and C to Medicare Parts B and A

www.forbes.com...

We have to stop spending what we dont have:

Even with all of those tax reductions, federal revenues under Ryan’s budget would nearly double by 2022 compared to 2012. But federal taxes would still be $3.27 trillion less over the next 10 years than projected under President Obama’s budget. This reflects the basic truth that America suffers from soaring federal deficits and debt not because we are taxed too little, but rather because the government spends too much.

And get companies to come back to the US and invest their money here, which under the current plan is double taxed:

Ryan also proposes to reduce America’s corporate tax rate, currently the highest in the world (except for Sub-Saharan Africa’s one-party socialist state of Cameroon, as reported in Investor’s Business Daily on Wednesday), to 25%, which is roughly the international average. And Ryan would make the corporate tax “territorial,” which means corporate revenues are taxed by the country where they are earned. America currently taxes overseas earnings twice, once where they are earned, and then again here if the earnings are invested back in America. That double taxation greatly discourages investment of foreign earnings back in the U.S.

How does it make sense to keep increasing the same conservative tax policies
when it has yet to produce good results???

We have been doing this for thirty years, this tax cuts for the rich crap,
it doesn't work. Plus the more we do it the worse the economy gets.

In fact, the economy did better at times when they were taxed higher,
that is a fact. The 1950's and 60's were, real life examples...

The past thirty years have been real examples that Paul Ryan's ideas
do not work.

NO NO!! It's better if the middle class and poor have no retirements, pensions, health care, all of it! It's just a cost to the overly burdened billionaire!

How can they create more minimum wage jobs without another 5000 trillion in tax cuts?

I am far from rich or an idiot.....I have common sense which tells me...we can't continue to leave as an entitlement society without going broke and losing everything.

And don't forget...you will eventually run out of other people's money or they will stop creating it.

If you are jealous of the successful, you are in the wrong country.

It seems as if he and the previous administration both did a good job of distributing the wealth.....to Wall Street, to the Banksters, and to the Corporate thieves that have sent American jobs overseas. What we need is LESS distribution of the wealth, and allowing Americans that have worked hard to make that money keep it. That does not mean that we should not be charitable, but let individual citizens decide how to contribute THEIR money to charities of THEIR choice, not phony charities that the government uses, as ways to pay off their big contributors.
Enough is Enough.

Eliminate Minimum wage!!!

Pay them $.50 an hour... And then charge them more to live in the world than they make.

Clearly I must have the same problem.

Giving seniors vouchers that will not cover their medical expenses is a great way
to get insurance companies to continue to increase the cost of their "product".
Simply because there is an endless stream of government money, paired with
the idea that many people will value their health and spend all their money to
retain their life.

Sounds like Welfare for Insurance companies, fascism and oligarchy, all rolled into one,
awesome!

NO Prof...what we need to do is return to the tax rates that we had when the middle class was the strongest. This isn't about charity. This is about our country and it's well being...and therefore the people within it. If everyone wants such strong emphasis on Me, Myself, and I...then what's the point of having a country?

NO man made his fortune on his own...he made it on the backs of others. Ryan's budget is greed. It's all greed. It has nothing to do with the well being of this country...and it sure as hell isn't for the well being of the citizens within it.

I'm sorry...it's just hard having a conversation with you....an ECONOMIC EINSTEIN. It's difficult for a middling fool like me to understand the incredible complexities of your infinite intelligence.

Go ahead....run and support Ryan and the GOP House's extremist budget. Mitt Romney loves it....but then again..he's worth a quarter billion dollars.

Regardless, go door to door and declare your love for this wonderful freedom lovers plan.
