You need to look at the PETM (Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum) EECO (Early Eocene Climatic Optimum) MECO (Middle Eocene Climatic Optimum) etc. Yes,
there are periods in the past warmer than now, but one also has to realise that the impact of humans since the Industrial Revolution is measurable and
above background.
