Oakland, California police are evacuating people from Oikos University in armored vehicles after shooting on campus


The gun man is still on the loose, Its thought that there is deaths and that 8 people possibly more have been shot,

Several people were shot Monday morning at the campus of an Oakland religious and vocational nursing school on Edgewater Drive.

Chopper 5 video showed at least four victims being wheeled out of the Oikos University building at 7850 Edgewater Road shortly after 11:00 a.m. KCBS reported that at least one of the victims was covered with a tarp, but police have not confirmed any fatalities.

The suspect, who remains at large, is described as an Asian male with a heavy build wearing tan or khaki clothing. Police said he may be armed, and anyone who sees him should call 911.

They mentioned that there looking for a Asian looking man of heavy build,

Military are there as well as SWAT teams, This is still on going,

Some people from in the building have been brought out, Very shaken...

Just watching this live on Sky news right now. Shocking incident from the sounds of it, just shocking.

They say the shooter is "still on the loose" at this point. They're saying it's an Asian man in his 40's who carried out the shooting as well.

Neighboring Alameda Food Bank tells KCBS all of their volunteers are safe & accounted for after Oikos Univ shooting

Of class shot one person point blank in the chest,
Then continued shooting others

I saw it on the live link, also commentator mentioned that there were military swat teams on the scene. Plus armored military vehicles were being used to evacuate people.

Confirmed 1 man detained. he was was found away from the scene at the nearby shopping center, (south shore center)
