I am giving my opinion. I think that people without will to do something become no-will zombies.
I have been like that. I have been that kind of zombie too many times and i am not afraid to say it.
So don't be bothered by my opinion, its just an opinion.

I am not insulting anyone, if you feel insulted its your problem.
I am happy to debate this with you because its a very important question within the new age philosophies.
The belief that wishes cause suffering is causing to many people to become inactive and bored but hey, they think they are getting enlightened...
Of course we all need to be quiet and meditate for a while, if its your wish go do it, but you have a wish, the wish to meditate, to contemplate, you are fulfilling a wish, you have a goal.
Can you understand why i cant agree with you?
You must always want something, even if it is to do nothing, but its your wish.
Without wishes you get depressed, bored, lifeless.
Thats all i am saying.

I do not feel insulted. However, you insinuate that your way is right and you want me to agree with you.
Wishing and hoping and wanting are the denial of what is. 'What is' is all there is and to want more is delusional.
This delusion causes the human condition of not being satisfied.
If you are satisfied there is no need for strong will, self control and discipline.

When you are satisfied creation is over, the game is over...
I think you are attached to that idea...

And you can be fully satisfied with having ever eternal wishes.
Creation comes from the wish to create, if you are fully satisfied with what is, there is nothing to create, that is death! That is game over.

Yes, it is the death of the ego.
It is the death of an illusion, a delusion.

No its not. What is the ego?
Can you define it?
We are all one but this one being WANTED to live multiple lives, so he divided itself in trillions of souls, he is living through all them.
Do you know why? Because he WANTED to do it.
There is no creation, no life, without wishes.
You know i am right but you are attached to your new age concepts.
You have wished in the past and you suffered from unfulfilled wishes, what you need to do is to learn not to suffer, but the answer is not in denying wishes, the answer is in loving life, no matter what happens, unconditional love for life, you must love this game, the game of life, but don't deny life by denying wishes.
Of course you can do it for a while, but that wont last long...

Your opening statement was: "I think we need passion and enthusiasm".
My question to you is 'what do you think you need passion and enthusiasm for?'

Why do i need passion and enthusiasm? Because that is life.
You like chakras? What is the meaning of the 1st chakra?
Do you like astrology, what is the meaning of aries, the 1st sign of the zodiac?

The will to do something, and all the passion and enthusiasm, that comes with it.
That is most fundamental force of the universe, without the will to exist and to create, there is no life.

If enthusiasm and passion is life then 'you' don't 'need' it, it is a given. My point is you don't have to have anything, you don't 'need' to set goals to make life happy. Life is alive.

I have not researched chakras myself and i have no idea what the meaning of aries is.

This is BS.

Without wanting to do something, there is just NO LIFE!

New age BS!

IMHO, i respect your opinion.

Why lie? Or do you not see the lie?
You honestly respect my opinion and call it BS.

Life is happening - can you make it stop?
Maybe this will make more sense to you:
youtu.be...

Again i will ask you: What do 'you' think 'you' need enthusiasum and passion for?

You think you need it to make you happy. Everything that people want is a quest for happiness, peace, contentment and joy. Tell me what do you want anything for?
Is it to remove boredom? Are you afraid of boredom?

So, I've read the past few pages of you two going around and around about the same thing.

Manula, Itisnowagain - you are both right.

Manula, you are right that passion and discipline (while nearly opposites) are key to a balanced life.

Itisnowagain, you are right that a balanced life is a life with no wants.

What you are both forgetting is that life IS. It can be passionate, dispassionate, controlled, uncontrolled, disciplined, undisciplined, stoic, exuberant, full, empty, happy, sad, anything, nothing - all at the same time... or just when it needs to be.

What is there to argue about?

Be as you are and are you as be.

My opinions apply only to my life.
They make sense to me, to my life, to my path, but still, i think it is good to talk about them.
I learned a lot reading and hearing what others say, so i dont mind giving my opinion, i might help someone and i am glad to do it.

This being said, i firmly believe that without will, life has no meaning.
But i understand you cant agree, it makes no sense in your path, but it makes a lot of sense in mine.
